MILO AND THE ELDERLY WOMAN
Milo and Judith are playing ball in a big park while George is fishing on the shore of the pond. The children’s ball inadvertently lands on a nearby flock of pigeons that are being fed by an elderly woman. The woman is very upset and yells at Milo and Judith. The children are also upset, so they plan their revenge. They decide to steal some worms from George’s fishing kit and place them in the breadcrumb bowl as the elderly woman nods off on the park bench. The woman wakes up and reacts angrily, which sparks laughter from Judith and Milo. The children run off to George’s side, where they boast about their joke. George lectures the children about the perils of fighting cruelty with cruelty. He tells them that the woman would probably be nicer to them if they were nice to her. Milo and Judith immediately change their behaviour, and, in no time, they are seen laughing and talking with the elderly woman as they team up to feed the pigeons.
