@@0010-n8q He's British, not talking in foreign lingo - he's a retired trooper from the Lifeguards regiment (served from 1976 into the 1980s, both in the UK and Germany) from what he told another YT videographer a few minutes later, after this video clip finished. So rude, so entitled, so disrespectful to current serving members of the Household Cavalry in his some of his comments in the other video.
It makes no sense why this guy is getting mad at the guard for not letting him pet the horse. The guard told him at least twice "no" and he still tried to insist he should be allowed to pet the horse, and then he walks right by the sign showing the rules.
What an entitled pratt that guy who tried to touch the horse is. I understand that he is an ex-trooper himself and probably expected preferential treatment. Nob.
People in the comment section is saying that he is a former trooper, if that's true then you would think he would know what respect is because obviously, he doesn't
He was a former trooper lifeguards 1977 he showed a picture of himself on his horse taken back then he also said that back then the public were allowed to interact with the horses on duty. These rules only changed last year.
@@maureenmoran5465 He still should have shown respect and not got angry at the guard. instead, he should have accepted the "no". His behavior was still disrespectful towards the guard
Heard in John's video that he was a lifeguard in the 70s. Even so, he should accept the new rules and circumstances under which they were implemented and not rudely pointing his finger at the guard. I cannot be very wrong to assume that there wouldn't have been as many tourists as there are now. Heard him saying something rather harsh about the guard, which I will not repeat here out of respect for the guard.
Why does this person think he has the right to touch the horse just because he was a lifeguard in the 1970’s. We all have served our Country in different ways. He has no more rights than anybody else. Such a tantrum he kicked up, not a good example of an ex lifeguard!

Lesley wells .. I suppose according to you that makes him eligible to molest the horse.. which country though ?.. his foreign country..? Because you can be from England or kassnjistan.. you’re simply not to abuse or traumatise the horse & give him anxiety.. animal welfare are keeping a very close eye on animal abuse these people lash out to these vulnerable poor animals ..rules apply to everyone
@0010-n8q I agree he should follow the new rules. On another TH-cam video he explained in perfect English what it was like to be a guard in the 70s. How he'd get up at 4am in the morning to prepare his kit - only the best were selected for this duty. He showed a photo of himself on guard duty - he is British and I saw no mistreatment of the horse.
Nice of the Gatesman to acknowledge the old Trooper clearing the way for him.
Why is he getting mad because he was told he couldn’t touch the horse hey buddy there are rules can u read the sign

Either he is blind or just ignorant, because the signs can't be overlooked.
