Lucifer obviously has a love/hate relationship with his wings, as they are a part of him, and a part of the person he wishes he could be again, but also they represent his father, his time in hell, and his time as the devil, they represent everything he wants to distance himself from. Several reactors comment on Chloe not believing he is actually the devil with all the evidence, but it is hard to believe someone is, when you don't believe the devil exists at all. When Lucifer asks her if she does not believe at all, she says she believes there is good and evil, but she does not believe the stories of the bible. It's like trying to convince her he is Aquaman or Thor. She will think he is a delusional person who has read too many comic books.
And let's not forget. He made two mayor claims. 1 he is the devil. 2 he is immortal. So yea, she saw some weird stuff and of course she wondered despite how insane that seemed to her. Then she shot him. That completely cemented it for her that, yes there is something weird. But there must be rational explanations for then, since she proved for herself his version didn't hold up.
Another great reaction! The characters in this show all go through such an evolution over the seasons of this show, and there are so many twists and turns. It's kind of breathtaking. Tom Ellis is remarkable throughout, from comic to tragic and everything between. Well, all the actors are but Tom never misses a step. (He also really plays the piano.)
I really enjoyed this episode. It definitely opens a large can of worms with the wings. And yes, Tom Ellis can sing. It won't be the last time we see it either
This is usually the episode where people start to like Dan more. He really is a good guy just a bit of a punching bag for the show. ;-) Also, and this is completely off-topic, this is my favorite of Evie's hair colors... so far. Cheers.
