For anyone that doesn’t know - there is a rental crisis in Australia - due to Covid and so many flood damaged houses. Finding anything is something to be very thankful for. It’s never been this bad in Australia for housing as it is right now. Many are homeless and sleeping in cars or sharing small apartments and overcrowded.
They said it’s just for a few months until it’s bulldozed, but they had hoped for a year, Sometimes you take opportunities if it means you will get ahead in the long run. Rental/property managers are getting on average 40 rental applications on each home from people applying to rent - so I imagine 10 children generally isn’t top choice. Unfortunately it’s so bad here that people are also giving away pets because the people being chosen don’t have pets and it’s so hard to be chosen with a pet.
Growing up lower middle class in the US, everyone’s house looked like that 😂 It brings back nostalgic feelings. I’ll always feel most comfortable in a home with a couple knicks or scratches because those are signs that life was actually lived there ☺️ I am excited to watch your family fix it up though! It’s so cool the children are learning useful skills like that together!

The rental market is tough right now in Australia. I'm on the sunny coast which I am guessing you may be as well, and it's been a tough time since Covid hit with rent prices. Always good to be grateful for what you do have. Good to see you're all keeping positive and are very happy 😃

The house will be great. Main thing is that you have a shelter from the elements for your family. Many homes built prior to 1970 often only have 1 outlet per room as they were not as dependent on electricity for daily living. Also many rooms are not wired for overhead lights, but just one outlet for a lamp that is wired to the switch on a wall.
It's a small space for so many, but you'll have a great imagination and talent, I know you'll make much out of it. It's a blessing to have a home. It's also a blessing that the owners are flexible about renovations. I'm looking forward to those videos. I love watching renovations.

It will be a very exciting job to do a Fixer Upper house. If they can fit in a van , this house is just right for them with just a few of their stuff and clothes. Just change all the faucets, lighting, kitchen counter and bathroom counter, plus repaint the bathroom tiles or fit another new tiles on top of it. With the boys and dad painting the new house will be fun plus paintin the floor of the patio upstairs.Cleos floor is an easy fix, just carpet the whole floor. Excited to see the finish house reno. You know my mom had 7 kids and we had to sleep together .some houses was a mess. But we cleaned and we got bunck beds 🛌 and double up .we loved it. It's a beautiful house.im sure it will look beautiful .I can't wait to see the beautiful grandbaby .

I’m in Noosa, we have a rental property that we purchased about a decade ago and it was very similar to this home. Bunnings do really good quality kitchens, we even got our bench top- a white Caesar stone which has no stains at all - from there. It’s just as good as the custom made cupboards we have in our own home! The pool and yard will be well used I imagine. So many exciting times ahead x

It isn't that bad. A good cleaning and a coat of paint will go a long way. Yes the kitchen needs a complete overhaul, but it is still functional for the moment. Y'all are still blessed beyond measure 🙏🙏🙏

Glad you found a home before baby girl comes. You can fix that stuff up in a jiffy. My husband and I bought a 150 year old home with 15 rooms. It takes time to fix but its worth it.
You all have been through so much the last few years. First leaving your big, beautiful home to tour Europe in a RV. Then having to stay in a rental for two years because of the virus and travel restrictions. Finally getting to Australia and having to wait 8 long months to find a home... We can't rush God's timing and if we try we might not get or do what his prefect will is for us and could end up cause problems or harm us. Glad you found a home before baby girl comes. You can fix that stuff up in a jiffy. My husband and I bought a 150 year old home with 15 rooms. It takes time to fix but its worth it.
You all have been through so much the last few years. First leaving your big, beautiful home to tour Europe in a RV. Then having to stay in a rental for two years because of the virus and travel restrictions. Finally getting to Australia and having to wait 8 long months to find a home... I am so happy you guys have finally been able to settle! I cannot wait to see how beautiful you make this home. 🥰💕✨

Congratulations u guys!!! Im so happy that u guys finally found a place. God's timing & will are always perfect & even if we see it as timing is to long or we think right know he has a perfect plant for us to prosper us not harm us. We can't rush God's timing and if we try we might not get or do what his prefect will is for us and could end up cause problems or harm us. I prayed that God would let u guys find a place, i believe he this house was meant for u guys. God blessed u with this place and even if some don't see it as so This place is going to be perfect for u and ur family for as long as u need it untile God's perfect timing and planes for other things happen.
