I charge 18650s with a 5v source by placing a 12v bulb like then ones in the dash of your car in series with the POS lead of your battery connected in series to the 5volt power plus and minus. It will charge the battery starting off at about 100ma as the battery charges the bulb will glow dimmer and the current will go down . I've done it this way for years . The bulb acts as a current limiting device battery stays cool as a cucumber! I've worked in Electronics for over 50yrs.
A light bulb is just a resistor. It will limit current, but as the current lowers, the voltage drop across the bulb will also lower. It might be true that the bulb goes off when you're at a decent voltage and current will drop, but if you aren't paying attention or forget about it, eventually it will over charge. Please don't recommend fire hazards.
Nice project but It's not a charge controller. It's just a charging level indicator. It never protect from over charge. You should add some components to protect from over charge. BTW i like this project. Keep it up

Well it works but... hell no. The IC being used is a step down. There were no measurements taken to prevent a disaster. No fuses, no overcharge protection. The charging is not done by following a specific charging curve. Someone is going to burn his house down using this idea. It's good for the price, yes. But keep in mind to ALWAYS watch it. or put it into a safe box

Tp4056 - самая распространенная и заряжает до 4.2 В. И ток можно задавать, зато моргалочек нет!
