This is... amazing - and what's so cool is to watch you step through it real time step-by-step, watching a true professional at work! Thanks enormously for sharing this mate.
@@Jaseowns yup I’m working my way through them - making a peace macer to start so was seeing if there’s any peace or combat macros of relevance (in addition to this one). Cheers jase!
awesome! I have the same (+ [pouch if insysmsg you cannot move) but I'm using a for loop instead of timers. Sweet use of timers, I think I may edit. Also stam potions help too. For mini boss/pvp I also have a version that keeps dex/str potions up as well. Your vids are always helpful.
I like the idea of having a "boss" loop - pop all pots types and make sure they stay up, keep stam above certain level, etc. Will need to look into that! Thanks for watching and the comments!
Do the timers only work in certain Razor versions? I get Script error: Unknown expression on line 1 (if not timerexists "aids"). Maybe not available on 1.7.0.12 community edition? (Required on the shard I am on, it's not Outlands (I play on Outlands and UOR)
Sorry for late replay, but yes - Outlands has a unique branch of the razor community edition with extra features. Timers and some other functions are part of that.
How does healing even work in this game? I regain some health constantly and bandaging doesnt seem to change anything... the same goes for eating. I really dont understand how all this works :D
Welcome to UO! You gain health naturally over time.. not sure of the exact values. But you also can gain health by using bandages, but you need the Healing and Anatomy skill to increase its potency. Bandages also have a cooldown so they take 15seconds to "go off" - this timer gets lower with higher dex. There is an option in the UI to turn on a bandage cooldown (should be on by default imo) so you can see how much time remains before it goes off. *A few other ways to heal:* Magery: cast spell heal or greater heal Health potions: yellow potions you can drink those every 10 seconds but you normally save that for an oh crap Chivalry: This Paladin skill has some heal options but it also requires tactics Hope this helps :D Check out the new player videos for more info, but the best way to learn is pew pew
@@Jaseowns thank you! Yeah maybe my char is just not able to use the bandages right, they dont seem to do anything. The potions work tho, thanks again!
I copied and pasted your script, but it still overrides if I spam the hotkey (mosewheel down). Only sometimes does it give my the "already running"overhead. Any idea why?
Hey Jaseowns, Thanks for all your videos really helps me understand how Razor works. I would love to see how to do Buff checks and re-apply if possible, i tried making "findbuff" but doesn't seem like that command works.
This is so great and helpful. I was wondering if you can make a script that unequips shield, chugs greater magic resist, strength and agility potions then requip the shield? Or even better maybe do it automatically when pots are running out ?
Which part? If your dex is less than 100 you may need to increase the timer. Check out this example: github.com/jaseowns/uo_outlands_razor_scripts/blob/main/Skill%20List/Healing/Improved_Combat_Loop.razor
For the poison I did something like this: if insysmsg "You feel a bit nauseous" settimer '_poisonTimer' 5600 overhead 'Lesser Poison Detected' 69 endif if insysmsg "You feel disoriented and nauseous" settimer '_poisonTimer' 7600 overhead 'Poison Detected (regular)' 69 endif ... if insysmsg "You are in extreme pain, and require immediate aid" overhead 'Lethal Poison Detected' 69 settimer '_poisonTimer' 12000 endif And then I have an if statement, that only cures if the timer is above 12000 for example. Meaning I don't cure some poisons straight away, and others I do. It take any poison 4 seconds from applied to first tick sets in. After that the timer of the individual poison applies.
Tbh though, the thing I like the most is I get an overhead of what is affecting me. But also nice to have the tweak ability, when to start burning cures, based on the poison level also.
Same weakness as everyone else's versions I have seen. 1 it assumes the apply bandage never fails, it does. 2 it assumes 11 seconds is always good. It wont be on a 80 dex char I think, perhaps even a cursed one. I still like my 3 if statements better, does the same, but can't fail under the above mentioned circumstances. Nice video as always, just not optimal imo.
I attempt to make sure the timer is reset based on sysmsg of "applying" - so it tries to handle that a bit. As far as 11 seconds - I should have said in the video that is relies on your dex being 100 - but I'm hoping the 11 covers 80% of the people that would like to use a new self heal that doesn't override the current bandage. Thanks for watching and commenting extra tips!
You definitely could, have a "pots only" example on the github you could edit a bit to your liking - github.com/jaseowns/uo_outlands_razor_scripts/blob/main/Skill%20List/Healing/Pots_Only.razor
@@Jaseowns Ok cool. I adapted your script to suit the shard I am playing on. I did try Outlands, but the character build process is OSI slow. Been there, did that many times. I don't have the patience any more for dedicating real years to a game character.
This is what I mean. I set it for 12000, but it could be 20000 really.... if insysmsg "You finish applying the bandages" settimer '_bandageTimer' 999999 endif if insysmsg "You begin applying the bandages" settimer '_bandageTimer' 0 endif if hits < maxhits if count 'Bandages' >= 1 if timer '_bandageTimer' > 12000 hotkey 'Bandage Self' endif endif endif
Would have to go on test or something, test out the worst case bandage timer scenario. Like what if I run my 25 dex parry heal mage, and he gets cursed? To see what is the largest number meaningful. But I am sure there are many scenarios where 11000 is way to little.
I did a vet timer video.. you can check that out here: th-cam.com/video/idfCkK1SZcY/w-d-xo.html On Outlands there is no way to check the health of another character or creature using Razor as they have it disabled. So you can't really make a "if my pet is low, heal it" - however you can just attempt to heal it over and over again and reset the timer using insysmsg nothing to heal. Thanks for watching!

Is there not a way to make a macro for >info? If you try to "say >info" it just says it.. yes I am that lazy.
You can't from Razor specifically but you can from the Client macros :D

Hello, great video for whatever reason i can't seem to get this script to heal me with bandages I don't know why either

settimer '_poisonTimer' 7600
overhead 'Poison Detected (regular)' 69
endif
...
if insysmsg "You are in extreme pain, and require immediate aid"
overhead 'Lethal Poison Detected' 69
settimer '_poisonTimer' 12000
endif
And then I have an if statement, that only cures if the timer is above 12000 for example. Meaning I don't cure some poisons straight away, and others I do.

Nice approach on the poison type breakdown. My loop script is definitely just more casual farming and not min/maxing the timers 😀

This particular script only works with the Outlands upgraded Razor right?
Regular Razor doesn't accept timers right?
Correct, this is specific to UO Outlands
