How do you prevent birds ravaging those beautiful berries?
Honestly, we don't have any bird issues with our blueberry plants. But if you are concerned about birds eating your blueberries, then all you need to do is purchase some bird netting and put it around your blueberry bushes. That will keep them out. You have a nice farm and good healthy plants! i am an armature backyard orchardist and would like to buy some of your plants this fall or next spring. but i have a question about blueberries: Collins High-bush Blueberry i am told it is a sweet berry and good for fresh eating, my family prefers the sweeter berries so what is your opinion on this variety for flavor and location (Northwest Indiana)?

These are Duke variety blueberry bushes that produce more than traditional older heirloom blueberry plant varieties.

The Chandler blueberry plant variety is a good one. It produces nice size large blueberries, but the only thing is that Chandler only yields about half the volume of the DiMeo blueberry bush variety, if that; which is why we often recommend Duke over Chander. But we stock both of them at our farm's blueberry plant nursery.
