Y’all gotta understand. Your locs are still forming . What you do to your locs now is how your locs will form .. it is a very detrimental stage. Just leave your hair alone . Only protective style I would do is the headband wig cause you can take it off at night but then again a girl said wearing wigs over her locs made her locs flat . This is my second set of locs . I maintained my first set by myself . Mannnnn when that year came up I was in love with my locs . I cut them cause my dumb ass was missing my loose hair but now I’m two months in in my second set.
just curious, wat hair type (4b, 4c)? Im 4c and 5 mo locs. I wouldnt say I LOVE them (I guess im in the "ugly" stage)) but glad I can wash my hair worry free now.
I loved my faux locs but maneeeee, THE TAKE OUTTT process was terrible. I ended up cutting 4 braids and after out the weave was out, because I was SO frustrated, I ended up cutting 3-4 inches of my hair everywhere. Now I have starter locs.
I can attest to this I made the biggest mistake putting faux locs in my natural locs, watching all of these videos so I tried my self it was a struggle getting them in, the hardest taking them done please please enjoy the journey I learned a very hard lesson
Looks like your locs started marrying when she put them together. That’s to be expected if their twisted together for weeks. They marry even when they’re loose too.

The locs forming together is normal! That’s just what happens especially at your stage so be careful with certain styles
