That end table is a French provencal style with a veneer top, awesome find. Make sure you seal the door with poly, it's probably lead paint. OH MY GOSH!!! You have my favorite childhood author.....CAROLYN HAYWOOD!!! I read every book she wrote. Love her work! Such great childhood memories!!!
My daughter left a box of dresser mirrors from her wedding centerpieces at my house so I did an arrangement with a blue mason jar of flowers , a small picture, a bird and some beads on it for my spring decor!
Oh Maranda! I cannot wait to see your spring home tour!! You are so so creative. The vignettes you put together are gorgeous! The way you put colors together and different pieces is amazing! I LOVE THIS VIDEO!!
Maranda, My husband and I will be driving from Ohio to Georgia on Thursday the 26th. I’ve asked him to go through your town as a stop along the way.I am hoping to be able to see some of the lovely places you have shared. And if I happen to see you, I’ll probably faint fr9m pure excitement and joy! I love your home and all you do in your hauls and decorating with thrifted treasures. The green book about the little boy is simply charming!
What time are shops opened there? I’d love to see the antique place you’ve mentioned and maybe a few others. My husband says about 10:30-11 am but I’ll let you know
Hi Maranda, my favorite items are the books and the $5 night stand....can't wait to see what you do to it to make it your own!! My daughter-in-law's uncle lived on a farm in Iowa and her family inherited his farm when he passed just recently....she now has a collection of at least 10 of those wooden Kraft boxes....wow...$6.99 ... great price!!! I'll let her know she's lucky to have so many.... FOR FREE...!!! Take care 🙂 💕 💜 ❤️ 💓
*Maranda, my favorites are the wooden Kraft American Cheese box, the white chippy wooden door🚪and the 3 green Depression glass salad/desert plates. I saw some beautiful wooden chairs and an old standing "Gone With The Wind" oil lamp on the grounds of one of the outdoor sales that I wouldn't mind owning. 😉 I am looking forward to seeing what you do with the 1950's maple night stand to freshen it up, too.👩🦰*
You found some really great finds. It always looks like you have a great time looking for antique’s. Can’t wait to see how you style and decorate your home with the things you purchased. I enjoyed your video. 😊
The items that touched my heart were the mirrored dresser tray like my Granny's & the green Depression glass. My Ma Maw gave me her green Depression glass cake plate which I still use. But I loved all your finds! I love books too.
I love the Eddie’s Green Thumb book! I have a collection of Carolyn Haywood books. I think I may have every one she wrote! Those books are what I learned to read on! 💗
I have an old wood Breakstone cheese box . I added 2 small iron handles to the ends.. and added 4 small "feet" with cabinet knobs . Now it is on my hutch with a layered assortment of small blue and white dishes and butter pats from my collection of blue and white .
Maranda you always find the best things. I think my favorite things are the books. I don’t have that kind of luck. I was just “summarizing “ my living room and was replacing books from spring. I found a few books that can pass for summer reading but I really have to tweak it a bit. I also have an American History corner in my hallway. That is coming along nicely. We are American History fans so I do have a bit to choose from. I love this stuff!!! Thanks for sharing! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸❤️
Loved your Country Living Decorating book. I subscribe to the magazine. Just to get ideas of things that inspire me from their magazines. Would love to have a book like yours that was an awesome find as well as all your books. Love the other items,too...Thank you for sharing and have a blessed and fabulous day ❤😊
Oh my gosh, that door! Oh, you found wonderful things. I know jealousy isn't good, but girl, I'm jealous of all the good places you have to go! I live in upstate New York, and it's beautiful, but Kentucky is just gorgeous. It's been many years since I've been there, but what a glorious place to live :)
"Eddie's Green Thumb" by Carolyn Haywood is a lovely book! I read all of the Eddie series to my children when they were young. Find a six to ten year old and read it to them! My favorite author!
Oh my goodness. I bought the same nightstand recently and someone refinished it in black and refinished the hardware in gold. I also have the matching chest of drawers that was also refinished. It will look beautiful with some love!!
Hello Maranda! What a fun trip shopping with you. A great haul as well. I especially liked the glass mirror tray for perfume bottles and trinket trays, just lovely. Have a great evening. Blessings - Judith 🎵🎭
Maranda-Love the ironstone pieces! I have the dinners, lunch& bread plates,& multiple c&s,but no sugar bowl. great deal u found! mine are in a black distressed chine hutch. they mix & match w everything😉
The best part of all your finds is your enthusiasm for all these old finds.I love how excited you get to plan where and how you will use all these finds.Luv the green depression glass.Thank you for sharing.Luv your channel 🏡💓🏡💓😊
I’ve owned the Farmhouse Cookbook for years! There’s some really good recipes in there. The Best Ever Apple recipe is our favorite. My son entered it in the agricultural fair when he was a teenager and won a blue ribbon. Everyone who eats our apple pie says it’s the best they’ve ever had and we say, “yes it is” lol
What fun! I especially loved the little French country end table, iron stone sugar bowl and cups and green depression glass plates. I love green dish ware and love the collection from my GrandMother! 💜
That’s a steal for that door! I won a door on an online auction with our local junk dealer for $12! I really did not think that I would win it and then got it home and my husband told me it would not go into our house until I sealed it. It now hangs above my couch with the door knob intact, and I hang my counted cross stitch and other fun items by season on it! I love it so much! I can’t wait to see what you do with yours!
I'm going to have to go to Kentucky (from SE Tennessee) to go junking. So many good finds. I used to have that Country Living Country Decorating book back in the day. If you don't know Country Living is a magazine (still published). They've put out several themed books over the years.
It's hard to pick one favorite thing because everything was good. I guess the antique door was probably the best and the nightstand. But I love all the small things, too.
I scored 3 old antique doors for free about 2 months ago. I’m not sure what I want to do with them yet , so they’ve just been sitting around. Can’t wait to see what you do with yours!
Hey Amanda!Great to see you again so soon!!I really like everything you purchased. That little table for $5.00 is unbelievable!!I also love the books and that precious sugar bowl!!Looking forward to your next video! Have a great week!😁🌷🦋
Love your videos. I just uploaded my first thrift haul. It’s not as good quality as yours lol. I can’t wait to see what you do with the chippy door. You and a few others have inspired me to try videos :)
I was hoping to see how you rearranged things. I know that will be another video. I got that oval perfume tray in junior high for Christmas back in the late 70's. I don't know what happened to the original but I have ones I have purchased in the past few years. There was some beautiful furniture at that rummage! My favorite item you bought was the $5 side table. What a steal and I guessed $5!
Loved all your finds. I used to have the country decorating book. I donated a bunch to the library for book sells several years ago.cant wait to see your end table redo

I’ve noticed you live on a farm. Do you have farm animals or do you mainly just do grain farming?
We rent this home and have chickens and a garden here but they no longer farm on this property! 🙂
What part of Ky is this? I'm from Corbin, KY. Would love to go check out these places.
She said Horse Cave for some of the shops.
