I think the map feature is an amazing feature. I also thought there was something weird about how it listed people on the leadership board and then I had to take a look at things. Depending on where it feels you are centered in on, based on the choice of "City" it just shows the top 500 people, and it only shows how much land they own in that area. For example, Openboosters is the Gov. of FL and has accrued over 25,555 parcels world wide. But as you click on Country, State, and City (Locality), that number drops to 25,555 for Country, 16,182 for state, and then to 7,462 for Locality, but as I move around, if I get into a locality that he has very few parcels in, the leader board drops to about 500 parcels by another player. So, its a good thing to know exactly where you have the map centered on to know why certain players are listed and others aren't. Those lines you were pointing out do help, and the AE team has done a great job of sectioning off things that show where the local government might be the county jurisdiction or city jurisdiction.
lol, when you landed on Cedar Park TX in the browser, you were in my neck of the woods. Had you scrolled up north a bit you would have seen me in the top 3 leaderboard. I love the new map feature.
I used my iPad and iPhone to login with no problems. I am loving the new features ❤. After everything new this year I am really excited to see what next year brings with AE 😊
I've just been looking at the new feature. I'm really enjoying it. The parcels that I own have a yellow border around them. Really useful if multiple land owners border one another.
I really am glad they have the new map feature. I just wish the separation lines lasted when you zoom out they seem to disappear when you zoom out too far on mobile I haven't checked on my PC to see if they stay longer
Live maps are great i just think what next update will there be for the earth maps they can do so much to the maps its a game changer,another grate video spot on 👍
I hope they add pins to the maps as I have a lot of different places where I have plots. I ride my ebike up to 45 miles in all directions and have plots in several cities. I have been sticking to one city now as I am Mayor. Only been mayor since Nov 1st, and curious if the Atlas bucks earned from mayorship has increased since the introduction of the monthly challenges. I have gotten 280 bucks in almost 2 months. Canada is not nearly as active as USA. I can understand why, we have been playing the same time and I have 210 +19 plots and have spent a crapload of time. Arcade pays crap here compared to there. Probably the same for surveys. I don't use hotels, so that is out. I play minigames payout on that is crap as well compared to USA.
The Whale wars will change drastically when the Japanese players hit the scene, depending on exchange rates its almost impossible to keep up with the Asian Market players in p2w games It's nice to finally be able to see the US boards properly without waiting for someone to do a video on them though The browser map I guess is cool for some people to see their local areas if they live in a hotspot but I don't see much to be gained in terms of playability from it, at least from a personal perspective anyway, I dont really have any "competition" near me right now my nearest rank chaser is about 30 miles away from me 😂
Interesting point about the difference between Western gamers and Eastern gamer's mindsets and spending practices. With the standard "gatcha style" games that are extremely popular in that area of the world and the spending that goes on in them, I would have to agree with your prediction. I guess we will see what happens. I'm still just a minnow in the pond though, so I'll grab my popcorn and watch while slowly building. Thanks.
@@Bronzedrag0n_Gaming I'm what I call a casual spender thesedays, used to drop thousands into games every year till lockdown happened, now I gotta do that whole adulting thing with my money 🤣 I justify the club expense as a means to get to my goal faster not as a means of investment like stocks and stuff, but some games I've played over the years has forced me to try and stay off world wide servers just because of the exchange rates and loot box contents, one I played gave the Asian players the same loot but it was effectively a fraction of the price so they could buy 10 times what anyone else could, but the thing I like about atlas is no matter how much someone else spends I can't lose my progress while I'm at work like city builder games so I can actually enjoy watching the whale wars for a change, plus along with the calculator it gives me a bit of an insight into what to expect at certain levels for my own journey, still going to be about 4 to 6 years before I see any real cashouts at my current spending rates but as lockdown should have taught us all..... you never know what's round the corner but I'm still looking forward to seeing the future of the game thus far ✌️😊👍

Lag? I don't usually experience lag. I think the lag would come down to how strong your cell/wifi signal is. I'd try a hard reboot of the phone, restart and relaunch the game to see if that helps. If you are talking about the mini-games, there are other variables there, but I try not to play them only for the challenges. I do note that the app itself takes a decent connection to work, because I have a weak cell connection at work and sometimes it just won't launch. It gets stuck on the loading bar. Good luck.

As someone who lives in the UK, it's so fun browsing popular USA areas (Disney World, Las Vegas, etc.) and seeing how many plots are bought there.
