I am working with the Developers For Manor lords to do a "Future Q+A" so any questions about the game for the future please reply to this comment and I will send them to Slavic Magic!
1. Will the game feature additional AI Lords in the future, and if so, what is the anticipated timeframe for their introduction? 2. Are there plans to expand the in-game food and commodity systems? Specifically, are there any intentions to: * Introduce new food processing mechanics, such as transforming apples into cider as an alternative to ale, thereby introducing a new entertainment option? * Incorporate a system for preserving fish, such as salting, to significantly reduce the spoilage rate? 3. Will the game feature castles as playable structures, and if so, will this include a robust siege warfare system? Specifically, are there plans to implement various siege engines such as battering rams, trebuchets, siege towers, ballistas, catapults, and other historically accurate siege weaponry? 4. Are there any plans to introduce new campaign maps to the game in the future?
In 2025 needs: more advanced dipomacy with rivals, AI towns, more nuanced battles and war system, castle building and sieges. + diseases, disasters, random events would be nice, like peasants petitioning their lord for something.
In 2025 needs: more advanced dipomacy with rivals, AI towns, more nuanced battles and war system, castle building and sieges. + diseases, disasters, random events
I really hope the next thing will be AI towns. The developers have already stated if people stop asking for changes on core mechanics like trade etc they will start to implement new features. Adding two additional maps did not bring anything really new to the game besides letting you build a new town for the 100 time in a beautiful location.
I hope 2025 will be great for Manor Lords! We need: Cavalry, children (all people in the village are adults) and city walls or castles would be great as well!
When I have some disposible income I will get this, I was hyped for a long time but never pulled the trigger, it is sometimes better to wait for a game to be more finished :)

Gonna be honest i would like much bigger maps with more regions down the line. If they are going to add castles, and city walls that implies siegeworks of even a small degree. So i would request bigger maps to have the big walled city be supported by neighboring regions. This wouldn't be a big bad hard thing to do in my opinion. Especially with how good the game runs as of now. Like its literally seemless, and extremely solid to run. You could allow for bigger maps with bigger battles, and everything. Simple.
Makeing a functional AI, understandably, might be too complex at the moment, but multiplayer? Build neigbouring towns with your frinds? Could be fun. End goal is to take over the lands of each other or Hildbrand's army must be stoped by a joint venture? Just balling spit here
hey so I found the winding rivers map to be suuuuper buggy in terms of units and movement. I found my units stopping for no reason, not moving when told, and getting stuck on or near bridges. Obviously that's in the unstable beta build, but it's something to note
man, I hope the devs do what they see fit and not cater to the whiney brats on the internet. Go play a live update game if you want a steady stream of new content.
would be nice to have more individual buildings and maybe buildings without a garden. focus on the town / city building capabilities for more individual playthroughs
We need ai towns, castles and multiplayer. While that is on the way they can keep the game alive with small updates like riverfishing, vineyards, cavalry units, cows and larger stables.
@@LukaBago Yep. people is obsessed wiht "multiplayer" in this game but.....why? Because of the combat? Who on Earth would play against someone for 24 hours straight until you get a really good city?
I'm sure the developer could relatively easily make this a multiplayer and single player experience. And even if it was just for the combat, make a strictly military game mode. Either way, the main theme of this game is city-building and I'm sure he probably plans on keeping it that way. But I'm all for castle building. I also think terraforming would be cool. To be able to make moats or terraform small hills to build your manor on so it's overlooking your city with winding streets and buildings, all surrounded by city walls
i feel like it need some sort of progression starting from the village to small town with proper military. It kinda defeat the purpose of the manor lord, but idk what else
@VermillionCrocodilian not really, no matter how much your village progress. It would still be a village, not a town. After a couple of hour playing, there's essentially nothing more to do.
@@rezkydonnyputranto4232 you are playing a different game from me then, ive usualy got one region i funnel every thing too and its got over 500 or so people liveing in it, back in the day that would of been considered a pretty sizeable town
I recently purchased and played Manor Lords for a couple of days. It has "good potential" but feels incomplete. I feel it's currently a 6 out of 10 product. I'd like to see map movement improved. The controls are currently rather clunky and I keep accidentally zooming out to the large-scale "world" map. I found that after the initial rush to not run out of funds, about an hour or so, I would end up with 200 population and the desire to play the game faded away. It became too repetitious at that point. I'll play it again after a couple of major upgrades are announced. Perhaps in a year?
I think the peaks map is a little unbalanced with the current state of the game. I was able to completely beat Hildebolts armies by just trading, taxing and buying mercenaries from my money, since it only took 2 battles, before even having 1 level 3 burgage plot.
Maps with rivers sould have have no fish ponds and be able to fish on the rivers maybe add a upgrade where they fish with nets maybe even on boats!. And maps with no rivers sould have the fishponds!.
Love everything thats been done so far, cant wait for calvary, would be cool if you could go into the buildings and it look like an actualhouse inside, but if thats too much i get it

Everything you’ve said but also customised castle walls significantly higher. Also an ability to drag ditches from rivers and ponds to create defensible positions and as a Segway into boating. Furthermore catapults and tunneling under walls.

I love the game, but the early access has been kind of a mess. So much basic QoL missing, no major feature additions. I don't understand how they can fumble like this when the basics of the game are so promising.
