Put on the Duratrax Bandito ST 2.2 tires Item# DTXC 5105, did my speed run on a 650 mah 3s 100c got 40mph, put in a 850 mah 3s 100c got 41mph on my gps.

Just got one of these a month ago, first RC I have had since I was a little kid. Super fun. Just ordered a set of OVONIC 3s Lipo Battery 35C (Burst 70C) 2200mAh 11.1V Lipo . I hope they are compatible and don’t mess up the electrics.
Just watch your motor and ESC temps
That jump was killer! I got the brushed 16889 and I can not believe how bad the shocks and tires are but it somehow still does okay with careful driving. Phillips head wheel nuts are the worsts!!! Biggest issue right now is that it has drag when I let my finger off the throttle and the ESC is not programmable and it's not the Center Drive Shaft or the rear differential but I haven't had a chance to check the front. I think I really need the pro version because these HBX rigs are awesome and I think I'm definitely going to get the 18th scale as well.
Friction shocks are THE WORST! Hopefully brands stop using them 😩

Does anyone know where to get spare pinions on the Internet for for these models? I CHECKED ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND NOBODY HAS THE PINION THAT FITS WITH THE SPUR GEAR! someone please help me find the spare! Either fir the 2mm shaft or 3mm shaft!
Not positive for this newer updated version, but I used a Traxxas pinion on my older hailstorm I did a brushless swap on. I think it was a .5 mod, cannot remember what model it was for originally but likely off a latrax. I went into my local hobby and they helped me identify the mod on the spur to try and match. Also, Redcat sells the volcano 16 which is a rebranded 1/16 HBX and carries all the spare parts on their website including upgrade parts (and you get them fast because they are located in the US, been my little trick of keeping my HBX 1/16 going without waiting for parts to come from China, not that it's broken much of anything). Maybe you could look or ask them what the mod is on that model for cross reference/confirmation of what I am saying. I am guessing it's the same style. Good luck!

Did you have any problems running 3s on the brushless model? I just got one and want to put a 3s but I’m scared to burn motor or esc.

@@413RC Ran 3s yesterday and holy shite thing was a rocket! Even on half speed. Motor honestly didn’t feel any warmer than 2s which is strange.

How long have you run this truck on 3s? Curious how long it will last. I know the manual says 2s only
I run it on 3S every time I bash! Just watch temps
I don’t even have the 2s batteries anymore, the 3s are a perfect match just let it cool down in between battery swaps
