The fact that it was so rarely ever updated throughout its original run and was literally brought back by fans, fixed and polished and is still getting new content and trailers is testament to its one of a kind experience. If you're just finding out about this game now and aren't sure about it, consider all this game has been through (EA had its hands on it) and where it is now...and why people haven't let go of it yet. There's so much untapped potential here...even after 14 years....and the community that's working on it now is JUST GETTING STARTED!

'm glad EA was ok with you guys brining this game back because I was so disappointed back in the day when it got shut down but I've been loving it since it came back.
Man i genuenly never thought id see this game and be able to actually complete it again, i didnt get very far in the game but it was so refreshing for the time and a way to play card based game that i didnt find boring, as per usual fans show us whats possible when they are just allowed to actually make these things playable

This game remind me of when I played “battle forge” when I was younger (around 15 years) so I never got the hang of it and yet I loved playing and controlling my “little armies”. I was sad ever since it closed. Then I found sky lords reborn and was ecstatic! It’s literally so alike and I love it. I am now more strategic and just earn money and use it in the stores to get good cards ❤
When I came across this after EA shut down Battleforge I was ecstatic! But I had so many network issues. I am so incredibly thankful to everyone who stuck with the recreation to give this game renewed life and give my children the chance to enjoy a game that was as inspired as a game could be at the time, and still is worlds above the indie steam trash you pay AAA prices for. Again, thank you so very, very much!

Interesting. A fanmade video game based on BattleForge combining MTG and WOW elements and having no microtransactions and in game currency. Sounds like a gamer's dream come true. Wouldn't hurt to try it out when I have the time.
I loved battleforge from the first sight when I learned about it's release and was quite dissapointed when they decided to turn it into free to play version on the release. I loved playing the nature army. maybe only using shadow archers because they are the best with double shot. I wonder if ea will realize that they fucked up the potential of this game and try to relaunch it.

Anybody can give me a bit of context about what is this, what is the future of this "fan" game and if can be played online as normal just installing it? Revival by a team of ~50 volunteers, everything you remember about the original is there, and more. New stuff is still being getting added. The game is online only (like the original), including multiplayer, trading, etc. All the microtransactions have been removed, everything is completely free and can be unlocked by simply playing, no catch.

There are no ingame transactions for real money. Everything can be bought by the ingame currency, which you get by playing.
Why dont you launch on steam as f2p?
