As time passed, more and more users were choosing VS Code over Atom. It's becoming increasingly more popular and thus developed a greater community and user base

you should do not "code hello.py"-for that you need an extra installed command code- you can do "open hello.py" then it will open the file in the terminal too
in youtube is much more elegant to use all your screen and big font, much more comfortable to watch and give the impression you are youtube professional

As far as I understand, he is using another program (Visual Studio Code) to use "code" as a command on terminal. You can watch it on 15:15

Update: downloaded the visual studio code application and still getting the response command not found

may i know why I input "code ...", in the terminal, it said command not found, though there is a py. file on the desktop?
he actually touched on that in the video. That's because you don't have VSCode installed or havent configured to use that command.

he is running a different shell
you can change to it just google a tutorial
from macOS Catalina, zhs is the default shell previous was bash
