Okay, no hate to anyone in this video, i honestly enjoyed it and think you guys are smart, but not in this way. In 12:15, you guys state that “having less confidence means that you are more likely to be smarter than people who have more confidence.” While this may be true, it definitely doesn’t apply to everyone. And stating that having thoughts of not feeling like you deserve achievements, do not deserve what they actually get, and feel like they’ve aren’t as smart as people perceive them as are “good” is actually insane. Those thoughts (and more) are all thoughts people have that all correlate to imposter syndrome. I understood the Dunning Kruger effect, but imposter syndrome honestly really shouldn’t be something to be glorified having. Coming from someone who has had those, thoughts, it sucks, a lot. And im not denying the things they stated in this video, people who don’t exactly know what they’re talking about often tend to freely speak their mind, yet, that doesn’t mean that being the opposite is good either. It isn’t like being insecure or unconfident makes you a genius, and nor does being confident in your expertise make you an idiot. In short, saying that imposter syndrome is something that “people who are smart have” is not something that anyone should say is right.
@FutureIQ Having a conversation/using humour/asking doubts is one separate genuine thing whereas most of the interruptions being about putting yourself out, making a topic about you, is whats bothersome to focus on the actual topic! Kindly requesting you to not make this suggestion/critique (by so many people) as just others misunderstanding you, rather focus on whats really bothering. I don't mean to sound rude, please take the message in its correct intention.

Yeah, same in English, "Empty vessels make the loudest noise." But in Marathi the same gets translated as "Shallow waters are quite noisy," which again has an English equivalent of sorts in the idiom, "Still waters run deep" but that is a completely different context than the one we started with!! 🤣 Hmmm. You have given me an interesting idea here. I just realised that some idioms are translated nearly word-for-word in multiple languages but others seem to have independent origins. Should get Navin to work on an episode on the etymology and evolution of idioms one of these days... :)
Normally it is assumed that people having no opinions on anything are idiots as their upper floor is not active 🤣 some situation demand to form an instant opinion , for e.g sports or on the battlefield and in such situations indecisiveness is result of not being abel to form an instant opinion and they end up being the losses thus you can not paint everything with same brush I belive . Diffrent situations demand duffrent reactions . Am I sounding idiotic ? 🤣

And because it is a conversation and not a lecture, I freely interrupt him whenever I have a question or a doubt. Any interruptions are always in exploration of the topic.
