Not everyone has moved on and forgotten about you . There are people out there every day fighting for stricer gun laws .
Most , belong to your club , unfortunately . They've been there too . Lost someone they loved or is dealing w a loved one who has lost somebody . Each individual story is horrific and unimaginable, but you are not alone . Not everyone has forgotten about you. There are strangers out there; who love you , empathize with you , feel your pain terror and share your same story . The rest of us just can't seem to believe that this person was so angry and troubled that they wanted to take as many people as they could down with themselves.
      It's a troubled world / country 😔
It's a damn shame that the Almighty $ 1 is worth way more than a life to these humans that make " OUR rules " 💔💔 I hope you can find your path to healing.....❤

As someone who had a loved one be a victim in a school shooting, I’m so glad these long-term issues are coming to light. This happens too much in America and we aren’t doing anything about it. The issues that come afterwards last a lifetime, yet most others who weren’t involved forget. I pray the day comes that we get justice for the innocent children murdered in the one place they’re supposed to be safe.

With the digital age allowing us to share thoughts how we do, ask around; it's terrifying to learn how many kids frequently think about their plan for if their school is attacked.

Thank you so much for sharing your perspective. Prior to reading your comment, I was a little worried that this movie might have an unintended effect of glamorizing school shootings… somewhat similar to how some people felt about 16 reasons why/suicide. But your comment honestly gives me a whole new perspective, and if it helps to heal school shooting victims, survivors and their families by giving them a voice, then that’s more than enough reason to watch it.

@@republicoftexas4651 Even if it was your choice to go in the army you are still an human, and even if you were prepared for this, you can't just say it's my job you have nothing to be shame to talk about PSTD actually it's great you open up about this, silence is the worst thing you can't just keep all things for yourself there is not better therapy than speak and tell things who hurt you, who haunt you, who makes you feel sad and depress and also the fear you can feel actually it's really brave to speak because it's one step of your fight from PSTD. When you grew up with normal people and suddenly you are at the war and you see people dying or dead bodies of course your brain is confused and also traumatized. My brother is a survivor from Attack terrorist of the 13 november 2015 in Paris he worked there at this period and he was drinking in a bar with his friend that night shooting started in bars before Bataclan, my brother is a very strong man who seems invincible, but when he talks about that night oh god his face it's like we destroyed the little boy innocent he was. And still today I'm grateful these terrorist got killed by cops bc these shooters they were just monsters, not humans and the fact he wanted to take my brother away from me, from my family well nobody don't hurt my family, nobody have the right to take lives and kill innocent people just because their life sucks. I'm born and I grew up in France and here school shootings never happened and I am not sure in our culture and mentality and in our difficult acces to have guns, I doubt someday there will have a school shooting here. And it's the last thing we have to worry, we are more worrying about attack terrorist who could happen in a school, than school shootings. I know in america it's a real issue even today it's getting worse, I feel like kids aren't safe in schools anymore in america and that's really horrible and unfair they have to get through this especially school it's not supposed to be a dangerous place, these things should never happen NEVER. Yeah the fact they aren't prepared it's probably even worst. Usually we says school shooters are bullied kids, but actually those are bullies or they aren't even in this school anymore. I am convinced Columbine school shooting is still an inspiration for some of these shooters. I don't understand the motivation to kill other kids there is nothing more inhuman to do that, of course people would say "people are crazy" but it's not solving anything we also have crazy people in France, like everywhere. My opinion for me the guns are definitely a real problem in america and I know it's not gonna change it's clearly the second Amendment but when I see young kids already going to shoot training with their father or people having a gun in their pocket like if it was an old western movie HAHA it's upside down for me. Anyway I don't want make polemic it's different culture and I respect that and honestly I'm here to support these horrible things I'm glad they made a movie about this subject, I don't know how many life is ruined every year by these school shootings. I truly hope one day this thing will stop and life will be safe at school, which school is supposed to be a safe place. BTW if ever you feel the need to talk about your army experience feel free to message me. I am happy to hear your old nightmares are gone, my grandfather had a terrible accident when he was young a kid who used to play behind his truck he had already told the parents and one day the drama happened and he did horrible nightmares for years and drink a lot, he suffered a lot in his last years of life because of a cancer and it's not something I wish for anyone, before it was tabou people weren't talking, my grandfather were putting his issues in alcohol and that's not the solution. About Fireworks actually in France it's legal and during the events like new year nights people use many many many Fireworks everywhere you only see this in the sky and I never really thought it sounded like shotguns but now I see just the explosion of a firework could make you think about the sound of gunfires and I understand what do you mean, actually my brother have the same issue which is why he puts an helmet and put song to not listen fireworks and it works actually he feels better after that, his brain is focused on what he listen in the helmet and not with fireworks

I can’t imagine what that must feel like. I hope I never have to. I feel for all the soldiers, vets, mass/school shooting witnesses and victims, etc. guns scare the living daylights out of me, I don’t think I could ever willingly touch one. I saw this trailer show up as a TH-cam ad but when I saw the beginning saying viewer discretion advice I knew it would be different then most TH-cam trailers jumping right into the premise of the story. While watching it I started reflecting back onto trauma that has happened to me in the past and now I feel so obligated to watch it. HBO really hit a home run with trying to go for something relatable to almost everyone while making it stand out in ways that need to be taken more seriously when it comes to the after math, for example, school shootings. Though I am younger, I'm going to have to give this movie a watch just by the execution of it's marketing.

Yup, Run Hide Fight turned school shootings into an tasteless action flick that forgot it was displaying a subject of trauma for many children today. Not to mention it felt like it a political tool for second amendment "rights". Because the movie constantly undercuts the seriousness of violence, bullying and firearms. Despite the reality being that many actual school shooting victims have been pushing for gun control laws to prevent anymore tragedy.

This movie was extraordinarily written, directed, produced, acted and whatever else goes into making a movie! Jenna is a bonafide superstar and Maddie was excellent in her secondary role! Bravo! All the awards to this.

If I snuck up behind you and fired a weapon several times-- your very core would be changed for the rest of your life. No exaggerating.

The unexpected gun shots from the trailer made me panick and my heart race. Hearing those gun shots triggered the ptsd the day of the school shooting when I couldn't get to my sisters. The fear that it's gonna happen again and I can't protect them haunts me to this day. That day I felt like a failure, I couldn't get to them when they needed me. I just wanted to take away whatever fear and pain they were feeling after. All I have to say is the trailer made me shiver, and I can't wait to watch it.

      The Life Before Her Eyes
Is a similar film that covers a school shooting. I actually thought this was going to be somewhat of a rip off of that movie but they deal with the realities of a school shoting differently.
