I first went on this ride 22 years ago and it's still my favourite ride above all the roller coasters. Its so much fun
this one was the scariest of all the rides for me, i hate the slow going up, the little stop before the drops... the darkness i mean was fun but screamed my heart out LOL almost peed myself xD
At least the water would've hidden your accident, lol. Can say the same about going on rides like these, hate that light feel in my stomach.

I love this series Of cartoons I’m a huge fan of Dudley do right and rocky and bullwinkle
I rode this just a few days ago at IoA and I have to say, it's easily the best water ride I have ever been on, the theming to Dudley Do-Right is fantastic and has several great drop elements to it.
So sad this ride wasn’t open when I went. At least Popeye was open. Just gives me an excuse to come back!
It was the opposite for me Popeyes was closed but this was open
Popeyes is closed every time I go and I've never been on it😤
You guys must go early in the year every year. From January to March usually at some point all of the water rides: popeye, ripsaw, and jp close for refurb.

If you’re planning on going to Island of Adventure. Please go on this ride. One of my favorites.
Now that splash mountain is gone this is the best water ride in orlando

Splash Mountain is moving to replace Dudley Do-Right. Sad Dudley is going but splash is a little better of a ride.
I remeber riding this and when the big drop came I felt like I screamed my heart out.
It's a bit brutal in places and I screamed myself hoarse but glad I did it and 2 days before I'd not been on a coaster for decades and I only had a couple of practice runs on calmer ones 2 days before I did this one 😱🤣🦖
For me it’s more scary going up 😅
I rode this ride Sunday when I went to Universal, and holy smokes it was so good. I got absolutely soaked and it was worth it

The scariest log flume I’ve ever been on. You barely had anything to hold on when I went on it
I love this ride
i went on this ride yesterday for gradventure, and it was pretty fun. the line sucked because it was so small but the ride itself wasn’t bad. i didn’t like how we were in the dark most of the time though. however, i will say that the biggest drop was amazing!! if you want to go in the ride i recommend going during the day and not at night.
I think riding this ride with my brother when I was in middle school was the happiest I ever was.

I remember being on this ride 20 years ago and it not having any belts or straps to hold you in. Not sure if it was my childish imagination but I could have swore that if I didn't hold myself to the seat using my hands, I would have been thrown from the ride.
I think your def right because I went as a kid and my mom told my dad to hold on to me😂
when I was a kid, thunder mountain used to have the same effect and was shockingly dangerous. The fact people have died or been seriously injured wasn't necessarily surprising.
It’s interesting how so many people say it was traumatizing. After dueling dragons, this was a breeze for me.

Yea I was trying to read every panel of random comics on some of the walls, and I didn’t even know what the heck it was about-
I believe its due to seasonal. Even in Florida where its often warm in winter they still shut down the water rides in the winter season

I went last year for the first time in March. I love water rides so I was excited to get on this. Boy was I wrong. The anxiety of not knowing how long this ride would be or where the final drop was was killing me. The 2:32 almost made me pass out haha I wasnt expecting the pitch blackness and the drop!! But that final drop is worse than what it looks!! Plus your socks and shoes get SOAKED. I would love to ride this in Summer though...now that I know they layout.
I went on this July. Didn't know what to expect and yeah that drop is definitely bigger than it looks . Little kids went on too 😮
Was on this back in 2007 scared the daylights out of me. Jurrasic Park even used to scare me too
i actually got stuck on the ride once for more than thirty minutes 😂
The best part of this ride is the pay-per-use water cannons that you can squirt people with. Years ago when it was a quarter a pop I would stand there and spend dollars getting people 😂.

don't even bother to pun on a poncho.... maybe to protect your shoulders LOL.... the water enters the whole boat! but dosent matter... i mean if it is a hot day.. this one is awesome!
From my experience, even with a poncho on, you get drenched!

I went to Orlando fl last weekend I was looking forward to getting on this
They closed for construction I guess they upgraded it so when I go back they going to opened back up
This ride it’s a 50/50 for the first drop drenching you or the last no in between for me at least
I LOVE this ride! Went on it two times (was at universals OL for two days) IT WAS SO FUCKIN FUN! Also love the RCMP stuff (Canadian here)

Whereas Popeye for me is in the Top 3 of Water Rides in the world, this ride just never did it for me.
It's not the system or layout, all that is great. Just the design is off.
Sure, it's themed after a comic, but going through black, empty rooms just feels like budget mode.
Even the outdoor sections are lackluster. It's decent fun but given the choice, Popeye ANY day
This is based off a tv show from rocky and bullwinkle, this ride opened in May 1999 with islands and was the cheapest ride in the park actually , this was originally supposed to open later after the grand opening around July 1999 but it opened early, if it would’ve opened when it was supposed to it would’ve been a lot better
This is way better than Splash Mountain was in my opinion

@@wille3573 Supposedly Universal has bought the rights to it and intends to turn this ride into a modern version of splash mountain. Not sure if it’s true, but it would be cool to see this ride repurposed into a different one

I am surprised this still exists. Like I love Dudly but in 2024 you'd think they'd have changed the licensing to something a little more modern.
