I think the woman talking at 7:30 of the video stating that pasture birds go to sleep like when humans have surgery is not a good thing to say and is not true. The killing of homestead chickens is not anything like when we as humans go into the hospital for surgery. I won't go into graphic detail here but anyone who has slaughtered their own chickens knows what I stated is true. Why in the world would someone say such a thing as she did? What she said is totally misleading and should be corrected. I think raising your own chickens and treating them humanely is a wonderful thing but stating that their death is somehow sterile like going into surgery in a hospital is very misleading and anyone who may want to learn to raise chickens for food should know the truth! Killing an animal that you have raised and cared for is not like taking them in for surgery!
