With the sun blazing outside, I decided to retreat into my cool craft room and let my imagination take flight with some beautiful butterfly cards. I used watercolor pencils as well as ink misted with water for my techniques on today's cards. I hope you enjoy this video!

Aww, Nancy. Thank you! Life has just been so busy and the days going fast! I was determined to get this video out! Thank you for the compliments, I appreciate that too lol. The hairdo is courtesy of the humidity (not good for fine, limp hair haha) and my face was flushed from the heat lol. So that was my 'makeover' 😉 xoxo

@@Serenestamper well you are a lot younger than I am. I quit last year last summer and I do have a ton and a ton and a ton of stuff so before I quit, I got a lot of stuff and so that’s great but then I went to Arizona and I didn’t take anything with me, so I feel like I’ve kind of forgotten how to use things or what you know anyway I did pick up another hobby now and it’s called diamond art. And I love it. It’s cheap and it’s so fun to do but I do love you and kind of got me into thinking OK get back out there and your shed Bev and start working on some cards so thank you, yes I knew you told me last time I talked with you that you had family and Lynden

.its been hot in Ontario too but not that hot…well maybe with humid ex it feels like it. Thank goodness for a/c. Careful with your bonfire. Love the multilayered butterfly card. You could have water coloured that background. 😊
It's only a small firepit that we use and with all the downpours our lower lawn is so saturated we can't even mow it. No fireban (yet). We're actually lucky to have rain mixed in with this heat wave!
I really enjoy watching you and love the cards. However, listening to the summer storm was icing on the cake-so peaceful! Probably didn’t help your bonfire though 🙃
Thanks so much Ann! Suffice it to say, we didn't have our bonfire lol. Plus, it took me until past 1am to get this video done! Lol. Hopefully we'll be able to have our bonfire tonight. It's warm and overcast this morning and hopefully the rains hold off until tomorrow.

Hi Tina ... I miss our Friday Mystery stamp but love your videos because whether they are edited or not they are always fun and you show the authentic version of yourself as you share the crafting experience with us. I wasn't planning on getting the DSP but as usual you've convinced me! It is a gorgeous pack and sure does make the card. I always say great tools make crafting a card fun and flawless! Wow I had to look up you temperature 104 Fahrenheit, beautiful cards. I thought we were hot down here in Boston Ma USA.funny part I said to my husband, wow what happened to the Canada chill we always get, I guess we need to send you cooler weather.. but tomorrow is another heat wave!
It's been a hot summer so far, that's for sure!
I looked at the conversion and that would be 104 Fahrenheit. Whew. I am in North Carolina and last week at our Capitol of Raleigh they recorded 118 I believe. It is definitely a scorcher of a summer so far. We finally got rain after about a month of drought too.

I knew you were from Canada and a Stampin’ Up demonstrator, and I thought, “Cool!” because I am also a Canadian and I used to be a SU demonstrator years ago. Then in this video when you were talking about how hot it was in Nova Scotia, I thought, “Okay, that is very cool…a fellow Maritimer!” However, when you mentioned that you live between Antigonish and Cape Breton, I almost fell off my chair. I grew up between Antigonish and Cape Breton. Actually my mom is still there, but she moved closer to town many years ago to Lower South River. Small, small world🥰
By the way, it’s stinkin’ hot here in BC as well. It was 41 degrees yesterday in the shade🥺
Oh my goodness, Sharon, small world indeed. Your mom and I are neighbors...I live in Heatherton! Where in BC are you? I'm originally from Comox and moved to the East Coast 2007 (my dad's family is from Lunenburg). Stay cool! This heat is crazy hot!
@@Serenestamper Okay that’s even crazier…I grew up in Afton, I have many relatives in Heatherton, and my mom goes to church and to the senior’s center in Heatherton. I can’t wait to tell her about you!
My husband and I live in Cranbrook…we’ve been here eight years. I’ve lived in various places in BC, but have only driven through Comox. I met my current husband in Kelowna, and we moved to the East Kootenays to escape the Okanagan heat, but it seems to have followed us😳
Anyway, it has been so nice to chat with you. When I get back home again for a visit, I’ll have to come to one of your classe🤗
