Awesome video jack, definitely raised some good questions. I find players are too harsh on any games released now days, the expectations are too high. They go into new games already with a Negative view. Twitter is the worst for it to because you never see the positive comments, it’s only ever the negative
I just hate everything about gaming culture today. I'll say it, outside of a few titles i was excited for as they came out a few years ago, i miss not knowing what the whole of the internet thought about games. It was much easier to enjoy random games or games you yourself picked out from the store with your limited money. Playing a game you thought looked cool because the only opinion that mattered was your own. Now it's "your favorite game is actually terrible or overrated," "old games good new games bad" and vice versa. It's very difficult to just sit down and enjoy a game. Work and school are stress enough, why does the wider world have to make gaming stressful too? TH-cam and the internet is a double edged sword. On the one hand, I've been exposed to games i would have never found by myself. On the other hand I've seen so much vitriolic discourse and have even embarrassingly taken part in discourse like remake culture, other discourse i cringe at like console wars, just pointless stuff. It makes me sometimes feel like i never should have associated with the wider gaming culture.
Preorder used to be amazing i remember getting the black ops 2 prestige edition and being so happy these days they are just away to push a broken buggy mess on players that have no way of knowing the state of the game and players are to blame for just preording blindly and rewarding these devs **cough** **cough** EA **cough**
