Just today I got back from my first trip ever to New York City; and I was lucky enough to catch this show while I was there!
If you think this album sounds fantastic, you'll be blown away by the live show; such immense talent in the cast, and the whole theater was on their feet when the final curtain fell.
I saw this yesterday and the last scene made me cry. It was magical.

After watching the current US national tour a few days ago, I have to agree. The energy and emotion from the performers and the show in general was so great and it was such a fun time. The audience was also super accepting and supportive (they absolutely LOVED Lola) which only enhanced the experience. I'd definitely go see it again if I get the chance.
I think I'm in a moment of my life where Charlie is. I never knew what I want before, now I am even more unsure :(

Just wait for a Lola, weather that be a part of your brain you've never unlocked. Or someone who just makes you feel special! It will happen eventually. Just do what you love, as long as it is safe and doesn't involve hurting yourself or others, if your on the wrong road turn back! :)

Loving the music, superb musical in London. They've smashed it. Can't wait for the London cast recording though. Although the girlfriend's english accent is hysterical.
I'm not sure they will but I really wish they would. Usually they do an album with the founding cast and they've been and gone already
they have done one it was out around Easter actually when I saw the west end one on the 5th of august last year I had got the tickets officially on the day the London one was released and made a plan to met one of Lola's angels wich actually happened on the day

Can I just say, Steve Pateman, the real Charlie Price deserves way more credit??? Even though Broadway literally profited off his entire existence and story, he didn’t get a single penny from them. Sadly, unlike the musical, his shoe factory ended up going out of business so he works as a fireman now 😞 He’s a super nice guy too. Even when his factory ran out of business, he made sure his employees were able to find new jobs. However the Broadway musical doesn’t give him any credit or profits for using life his story as a stage show. The only thing they gave him (which they gave begrudgingly) was a Broadway ticket but he couldn’t even afford to go because he didn’t have enough money for a flight and hotel. They won’t let him sell his book at the theaters either nor do they really discuss or credit to the origin and backstory of him and the Northampton factory workers in the playbill. It’s awful that the Broadway musical doesn’t give him enough credit or money for even though they make thousands off his life story. After years of being unnoticed, he finally came out and wrote a book about his life story (and profits go towards firefighters too, he’s such a sweet guy), but he still deserves WAYYY more credit than Broadway gives him, Help this guy out and learn his real story here. JUSTICE FOR STEVE!!!!

Yeah, I just went to New York and saw it, I saw the movie first and wanted to see the play. When you saw it, who was Charlie and Lola, for me it was Lola's understudy Timothy Ware and the original Charlie Price, Andy Kelso.
