Awesome video. Just subbed you. I’d love to see the scenes you shot. My hands really shake but I’m trying to get better at hand held. I love what you said about letting the focus go in and out sometimes. I’ve been so focused on keeping everything in focus all the time that this was just an amazing sentence to hear
Hey I love your videos! Great content and cinematography. I was the gaffer with Christian( sound-sensei) and Leslie last year on a Christmas Feature Film. I’m still a student at York College of PA but I’d love to shadow and learn from you at some point, if you’d be willing. Anyways thanks for the videos.
Good question. I would definitely consider a wider lens without going too wide again, to prevent the distortion. 35 would still be nice just maybe step back a little more
Thank you for another awesome video. I'm preparing to shoot my first feature film in the fall, and for a few reasons we are keeping the crew as small as possible. Do you think the new DJI Focus Pro is decent enough that we can get away with not having a focus puller? 🧐
Ah man, I agree with the handheld spontaneity. My overly ambitious shortfilm for the Musicbed Challenge last year I worked with kids and green screen and it was a nightmare. But my favourite and easier shots were the handheld moments where the kids just played.
@@carlostigs keep it up! yeah.. I’m suffering with a persistent injury from constant hand held shooting over the years. It’s super tough to completely heal.
I'm learning so much from you bro, I really appreciate your channel. You're my "Go-To" whenever I'm struggling with something or need more inspiration.

Thanks bro. Learned a lot
Glad I could help
Very solid video!
THank you
Those Tokina lenses are sweet, their character remind me of Leica Summicrons, or am i just delusional? :D
So let say you are on S35, you want the 35mm look you get on FF, would you substitute to something like 25/28mm or still choose 35mm lens?
Good question. I would definitely consider a wider lens without going too wide again, to prevent the distortion. 35 would still be nice just maybe step back a little more
💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Tip Number 1: DONT shoot in 4:3 😠
Absolutely love your videos man
THank you!
May I ask what aspect ratio this video is in sirrr?
3:2
You make a fully rigged out Venice look like it weighs as much as an iPhone
From South Africa also doing film this is amazing 🔥
I want to go to LA by 2026 and you just go a subscriber
I've found doing walking shots just holding the Venice gave me better smoothness than using it with the easy rig, what do you think?
And im wining my fully rigged fx3 is too heavy😂
how tall are you bro?)))
See you putting on for Jersey💪
Yea sir
informative video
Thank you for another awesome video.

I think it’s pretty good but limits your creative choices with focus. So consider what role focus will play for you

Curious if you are having any muscle/nerve pain in your forearms from handheld work with a heavy rig?
Luckily I am not. I sttretch my forarms and wrists regualrly and workout my forearms as well.

That rig is huge aha! Gym arms are needed I see lol
handheld?? watching you operate on the easyrig and not holding the camera in your hands made me truly wonder
AWESOME man! where did you guys shot? Philly.
Bro, I need these arm workout tutorials wth
This was so valuable, like all your vids man, looking forward to the final project.
Appreciate it!
Great advice!
It was awesome working on this one with you man! Cant wait for the next 👏🏾
Killed it bro
