You guys talking about how they're similar or the same are right, but you're missing that both songs were 'written' by the same dude. That's why they're the same. Why be original and innovate when you can re-use. This is all pop music is, lots of re-use whether by the same person or not. Same chord progressions, same beats, same tempos, just different singers and words. The music industry sells you the same music over and over and people keep buying it.

just to clarify things, it's not that beat that changes it's actually the pitch. the song still moves at the same pace. the pitch is what makes it sound either high or low. add a little synthesized sounds here and there and you've got yourself the song.
the guy who worked on both songs, benny blanco came up with the beat.
