To make life easier when working those large tires, get yourself a tire spoon. It's nothing but a steel bar about two feet long with a pointy end, and a flat spoon shape on the other end. You jack the tractor just a bit higher than needed, put the pointy end through the wheel hole at the top, then into the bolt hole in the flange. When you pry up from the other end it will lift the wheel and align the bolt hole. I used to work for Goodyear. It's a trick an old timer taught me. Just use care not to bugger the threads. On the PTO button.... See if there is a turn to lock in the far outer position. Sometimes they have that to disable the reverse lockout. Good luck. Sure is one fine new toy.
Use a coating like a liquid bed liner on the bottom of the deck. Stops rust and also works to keep the deck from being dented from rocks when mowing. Not a thick coat, a thin to medium coat. There is a lot of lawn mowing companies here doing this to protect there expensive commercial mowers. Its pretty cheap to do yourself during the winter. I have personally seen some sandblast all of there deck and coat the whole thing in this idea even.
Bill, might want to swap those front tyres around, that way the rims will be facing outwards like they're meant too, and you'll still have your tread facing the right way.
Hey Bill, leave the spring loaded handles flipped up on the deck before you drop it, the deck will drop all the way and you wont have to redo it every time.
Hey bill u need to get a spud wrench for getting the hub hole lined up to your tire or you can make one with a piece of round bar. I made one when i was a mechanic for aligning Volkswagen tires (same design). Just push it in hole and it will line right up make two of them and never fuss with that again. love your videos and keep them coming
Make those back wheels easier on yourself, bill. I see it has bolts instead of studs. Get yourself some threaded rod the same diameter and pitch as the bolts. Cut two a few inches longer than the bolts. Cut a slot in one end of them and grind a taper in also. Thread them in opposite sides, slide your wheel in place, the modified bolts will align the wheel, just install the remaining bolts, remove the alingment bolts with a screwdriver, and install your remaining two bolts. All done, and no fighting the heavy wheel :-)
Robert S these are just used to align the wheel to the hub, after the other factory wheel bolts are installed, these are removed and the remaining two bolts are installed in place.
Looking at the front wheels, can you not put the left wheel on the right and right on the left side so the valves are on the out side ? Or do they only fit one way
The factory put the front tires on the rims backwards. That can damage the valve stem, you might want to take them to a tire shop and get the problem fixed soon. don;t wait!
good vid Bill. keep on trucking and f those over done.. so called Safety buttons big time nucance for the working tractor ? nice unit there Roughly what does a tractor like that cost ??
Hey Bill. With your Iron man connection, you should be able to build a rack system behind the garage. Think warehouse racks. They are quite tall and hold lots of weight.
take the tireon the front right and put it on the left and the one on the left to the right that way they will be the proper direction and the valve stem will be on the outside
by now u prob figured it out. that "RIO" switch can be disabled. You need to find out which contacts on the switch close when u pull the switch out and put a jumper on those contacts the same way you did for the seat. After I got my X738, within 2 hours of getting it I had my seat and the RIO switch disabled.
Exactly as you said. Just like on a bucket, it has a removable blade instead of the whole bucket, you replace just that strip instead of the whole deck.
Very true also, the deck shouldn't touch the ground hence why it has wheels. What actually happens is the grass wears on that area since the deck is lower then the grass. Even though grass is "soft" it can do its number over time. Plus the hard stick like grass he talks about doesn't help much either.
Bend a spacer out of spring steel so when the button is pulled up the spring steel holds it high enough to override the backup disengage. You could still shut the pto off just like before too,
Those switches,AM-118820, are designed to be pulled on and do not pop out. I have tried to remove them, and even with access to the back of the switch, the tabs always break. I just go ahead and break the tabs and get another one.
Will you be flying your yellow helicopter mod in the 2015 game any time soon? I really wish you would, so we all could see the layout of the new maps. I truly hope you are felling much much better real soon, Bill!
You're going to have to add a wire from the battery to connect your 12v powered fuel pump. You added a 12v "+" terminal to the tractor that you traded in. Maybe this time you can do it without shocking yourself.
BILLSTMAXX :) hey bill when you change the tyres have you not tried 2 long tyre levers under the wheels and work it into place maybe easier thats the way we do it with lorry tyres makes it a whole lot easier anyhow thanks for another great video keep up the good work
The reverse PTO safety overide is no big deal. I have it on my little tractor and it bothered me at first but it becomes second nature to pull it up just before stepping on reverse. I don't even think about it anymore. You'll get used to it. The oversized knob is easy to grab while holding your beer too ;)
hey i think it would be a good investment if you got your yourself a two pronged pallet jack you can use it too lift those heavy tires and push it in place by yourself plus its good for other stuff
awesome. I just switched our tractor (john deere 1026 r) over to winter mode today. our tractor has that dumb back up safty auto shut off thingy to. annoys the hell outa me. I just jam a close pin under the button :)
1. The front plates you took off, you shouldn't of had to swap. If you look at the ones you had on originally, they have an offset pressed into the plate. 2. set the quick hitch on your floor jack and let it do the heavy lifting. 3. Maybe a cloths pin might be called for by one of the problems you mentioned in the video.
Just make an "H'' frame wheeled dolly for under that heavy front tractor attachment. When it's time to install it you can roll it under and because the dolly is in an H shape you can use a floor jack to raise it up into position.
You can run a jumper across two of the terminals on the back of the PTO switch and eliminate the reverse lockout- you have to check which terminals for your series...
T the same time as ever in the in my room and my mom and I have no clue what to do with a lot of the best thing ever when the only one that has to do wi I don't have to be a little bit more like it but I
He knows that the valve stems should be on the outside but he installed the tires so that the tread pattern is facing the correct direction. Unfortunately the tires were installed on the rims backwards.
Nice video Bill i have a question also your Brown jacket your wearing , what make is it ? i would like to get one like it , thanks for any help you can give me , thanks bud .
anyone else think there's a lifter tick? I know diesels have extra noises that regular gas engines do not, but for some reason it kind of sounded like, at one point in the video, there was a lifter tick in the engine. Unless that's just because it's a new engine and stuff making it sound a bit different.
BILL, you panic too much about a simple switch, there is eather a voltage controlled latch or a solinoid release. If its too hard for you, then make a small flap on a hinge to keep the button up, easy :-)
Bill put those loaded tires on a small 4 wheel dolly. That will making lining them up way better. Princes auto has it for $20 here is the product Sku: 8571838.
I hope you will tell Deere about the pto thing being a huge pain in the ass so they make it right again on the next models. Those safety things are getting out of hands and stupid
The safety in the seat is in case you fall off and the pto safety is to add an extra step for when you back up so you don't mow over anything. I have disabled the pto safety switch on my lawn mower
the pto problem i would follow the pedel linkage back to ur hydrolic swash plate the wlll be a switch for reverse i just unhook it and the tracor think u never use reverse BILLSTMAXX :)
bill, don't feel bad. Our X530 is the same way. but one guy here on youtube, i can't remember his username, (this is for our 530) fabricated up a solid piece of plastic and sticks it in there whenever he uses the PTO. my idea for that switch of yours though, 1) try this: www.tractorbynet.com/forums/john-deere-owning-operating/287024-how-do-you-rig-jd2032r-2.html 2) there should be a way to get underneath to the pedals, and disable it there. or just replace it. that actually is your best bet. i was just looking on john deere's website, here's a part # for the switch: AM127393 Now, i don't know if this is the one with the pulll up (RIO) or without RIO. if it is the one with, ignore it. if not, there u go. :D

Another great video Bill, I find the trial and error most cut out of there videos is what makes yours so enjoyable to watch KUTGW!
I never understood why some wheels don't have studs!!! so much more work...
great videos bill thanks!!!

This is the greatest instructional video I have ever seen. I've been thinking of a 54D deck for my 1023E TLB.
That extra bar that you mentioned on the front of the mower deck is probably an extra wear plate. That would be my guess.
Great video as always Bill.
Bill, might want to swap those front tyres around, that way the rims will be facing outwards like they're meant too, and you'll still have your tread facing the right way.

I was thinking of mentioning something to him like that do it make it so much more easier for those tires
remember wheel bolts are high tensile, regular rod is too soft
landy kid yeah, please mention it to him, it would be real easy for him to make, and changing those tires will be so much easier. Thanks.
Robert S these are just used to align the wheel to the hub, after the other factory wheel bolts are installed, these are removed and the remaining two bolts are installed in place.
Just take a screen shot so i remember to tell him about it tomorrow

You may want to try pulling the switch out and turn it a bit to lock it in place. A lot of those switches can disable the reverse lock out.
1
It looks so much better with those tires on it.
Bill I agree with you that the safety switches on those seats are a pain in the butt. And they are soooooooooooooo annoying.
You are Hercules for sure Bill.
That bottom bar on the deck is made to wear out instead the deck being scraped away.
Exactly as you said. Just like on a bucket, it has a removable blade instead of the whole bucket, you replace just that strip instead of the whole deck.
but the bottom not supposed to touch the ground when cutting, that's what the wheels are for. the bar does not make sense.
Very true also, the deck shouldn't touch the ground hence why it has wheels. What actually happens is the grass wears on that area since the deck is lower then the grass. Even though grass is "soft" it can do its number over time. Plus the hard stick like grass he talks about doesn't help much either.
Dakota Eastham
i see, forgot that. still its an odd placement.
Bend a spacer out of spring steel so when the button is pulled up the spring steel holds it high enough to override the backup disengage. You could still shut the pto off just like before too,
Also, why not build an overhang off the side of the garage to put all your attachments under?
That pto switch should pop out with a pocket screwdriver....there should be enough wire free to get the plug off.
Those switches,AM-118820, are designed to be pulled on and do not pop out. I have tried to remove them, and even with access to the back of the switch, the tabs always break. I just go ahead and break the tabs and get another one.
Richard Erskine mk!
flip the front tires around and the valv stim wont rube
Paint the underside of the deck with "Slip-Plate" paint and the wet grass won't be able to stick to it. Helps the deck to last much longer.
Andddd that JD cutting deck is why I have a Kubota!
Will you be flying your yellow helicopter mod in the 2015 game any time soon? I really wish you would, so we all could see the layout of the new maps. I truly hope you are felling much much better real soon, Bill!

***** run it off the starter wire its right close
For a cool video/expieriment, you should make a cool stack for the new tractor!!! Like the ol' girls do with the rain caps and all. What ya think?
u could swap sides with the front tires bill if the rims are backwards then the dish of the rim will be right and valve stems will be out
BILLSTMAXX :) hey bill when you change the tyres have you not tried 2 long tyre levers under the wheels and work it into place maybe easier thats the way we do it with lorry tyres makes it a whole lot easier anyhow thanks for another great video keep up the good work

That plate on your deck is to add support for driving over the deck.
awesome. I just switched our tractor (john deere 1026 r) over to winter mode today. our tractor has that dumb back up safty auto shut off thingy to. annoys the hell outa me. I just jam a close pin under the button :)

in the plug thing you could probably use some wire nuts if its a different plug
i dont think ive ever seen anyone scratch there beard that fast.. it made me giggle when he did that lol
T the same time as ever in the in my room and my mom and I have no clue what to do with a lot of the best thing ever when the only one that has to do wi I don't have to be a little bit more like it but I
Sorry to hear about you not feeling the greatest.. :/ Hope you get feeling better as soon as possible! :)
I cant believe your leaving the front tires like that .
that plate on the deck is for if u hit a rock or something it won't push in
See this is what I love about TH-cam at 6:30 in the morning when you can't sleep
Is the 2032R yours, or does it belong to the owner of the cemetery?
there is ways to bypass that RIO switch, some time on google will help. you can disconnect under the dash, or unplug the sensor on the pedal.
Are you sure the front wheels are on the right side? Never seen valve stems on the inside. But I could be wrong
Your wheels are on the wrong side..... Swap sides and they will be right. The valve steams should point out. I would think.
He knows that the valve stems should be on the outside but he installed the tires so that the tread pattern is facing the correct direction. Unfortunately the tires were installed on the rims backwards.
***** Thats what i'm saying..... If he turned both wheels and tires around.. And then swapped sides, it would be fixed.
no don't flip them when you swap sides just straight over. Tire pattern stays the same
The thing is, they are loaded with windshield cleaner so swapping the rubbers is not very fun!
some tractors have it on the inside to protect them a bit, all my garden tractors are like that
bill you should just take the switch from the new tractor and put it on the backhoe, and put the backhoe one on the new tractor
Make a little stopper like the pre load for your Tmaxx and put it in behind on a ring so u can just put it when u put it on
When is your next mail Sunday I feels ages since u did 1 they where great videos
I think you can use a jumper like the seat for the PTO reverse mode too.
A cradle would help get all that under there.
Bill, that reversing sensor, could you just disable the sensor at the pedal like you did at the seat
Nice video Bill i have a question also your Brown jacket your wearing , what make is it ? i would like to get one like it , thanks for any help you can give me , thanks bud .
Steven Noel made nt dakota from marks work wearhousewww.marks.com/shop/en/marks-marksdefaultsalescatalog/washed-stretch-duck-shirt-16277
My pto button on my lawn tractor does that too, you get used to it quickly
The PTO switch is on the transmission. Its always open unless your in reverse, so just unplug it!
Wa is like your emergency blinkers
I've found that turf tired get better tractor in winter than ag or construction type tires
would it not be safer to put the tiers on the rims right way now before you get to a point where it is way too tricky to do later or impossible?
yep bill - that is one nice tractor you got there
You should build a set of shells or something like that next to your shop for attachments
Sea shells?
I meant shelfs
Bill make a temporary pilot stud to put in one of the wheel bolt hole to help line up the bolts
Bill, there is a micro switch on reverse pedal.
anyone else think there's a lifter tick? I know diesels have extra noises that regular gas engines do not, but for some reason it kind of sounded like, at one point in the video, there was a lifter tick in the engine. Unless that's just because it's a new engine and stuff making it sound a bit different.
wonder how long it will be until you do a first fill up of fuel on the new tractor
Did you make a video of getting this tractor and sweet video
What happens if you pull the yellow button up then twist?? It should lock in place ( I'm guessing )
Nice
As much as you have that camera stuck in your mouth...you think you would have glued a mouthpiece on it...
If the PTO button on the 110 is what you need, why not order it and custom fit it to the new JD, surely their csn't be that much if a difference
i really like this video on you tube 😀
Put a clothes pine under the button where u turn on ur implement and u won't have to keep pulling it every time u back up
do you have a gopro headstrap?
I think the toggle switch would work good for you thats how most of mine are rewired
All you need to do is remove the switch under the hydro reverse pedal simple
clothespin works great for that pto swtich bill
CALL JOHN DEER ENGINERS
just live with it
Isn't it nice when things are tight fitting because it is new and not because of rust? lol
the FF makes u look funny :)
gday billy :)
how much did you buy the john deere for?
u can tell that the tires are on the wrong side bill.
What diesel do you run In them
Hey billstmaxx what happen to your other tractor
thanks i seen his video when he took it to the dealer how much weight can his new trailer hold
Is this a compact or sub-compact tractor?
Sub compact
Wait bill u got a new tractor
I hope you will tell Deere about the pto thing being a huge pain in the ass so they make it right again on the next models. Those safety things are getting out of hands and stupid
does she still have that new tractor smell
Its for safty because of some one once put there hand under the deck of it and it sliced his hand off so thats why
How did you fix the pto knob
bill, don't feel bad. It's a safety feature
those tires seem like bobcat tires to me. anyone else see that?
you don't change the front tires?
never mind
He should go to john deere for some lessons on how to change a wheel , if he worked for me he would be fired for wasting time
Why washer fluid
it adds weight and wont freeze also wont rust and rot out the rim like calcium does
