All I can do is watch and drool. Items I may never be able to own but know they are somewhere getting love and taking care of.Thanks for sharing, John.
Great video John! I am not a big fan of collecting stuff older than NES/SMS because I don't have the same nostalgia for them, but I love the knowledge you provide for us on them. It's so interesting to see all this stuff.
This is an awesome idea from especially you John! Big fan and you've got such a gnarly collection and your knowledge too so yeh looking forward to MORE !!! Cheers m8!!!!!
High time I repaired my Vectrex. I got it free from a colleague because it has a defect (you can hear sound but there's no picture except for one pixel, apparently a common fault and reasonably easy to fix). Love your channel, looking forward to pt.2
I love rare and unusual don't get me wrong - however it's tough for me to get excited about pre-1985 game stuff. I love your videos John looking forward to the next few!
Thanks John Great collection i love all this rare oddball stuff I'm looking forward to the next video I have a few odd things in my collection but you the man I look to for information on rare stuff.
Nice video John. I never knew there was a basic cartridge for the Intellivison computer component. Also, never knew about the Milton Bradley carts. for the TI-99 4/A. I believe I have the Summer Games cart. for the XL/XE. Thank You!!
I remember playing Zero Zap! It is such a fun game. We had a TI-99/4A growing up in the early 80's. It's still boxed away along with all the cartridges in my parents basement.
John I love your videos. I actually gave up collecting rare games years ago. Just because a game is rare doesn’t mean it’s not dog shit. I still have a lot of rare titles. But now I only collect stuff, I will actually want to play. Owning ALf on the Master system is a waste for me.
This stuff was all very cool to see! I'm willing to bet that almost all the games shown are pretty bad to play... as is usual with super rare games. I'm not saying I wouldn't love to have any one of these items... :}
Hi John... My first basic program was on a TI-99!I was still learning how to write when my dad taught me how to write on it. Hey! Maybe that Vic20 cart dump might be helped by Jan Beta or the 8 bit guy? Thanks for sharing this with us!
John you really need to get that Tymac Vic 20 cart working and tested. There are stories of others not working and being fixed and hopefully yours can be fixed too. Tymac games are nearly unreleased and barely exist so just seeing what game that is be would be incredible!
I love your content, John but... Now my envy rises up and consumes me. I hate you. But I can't stay mad at you! Thanks for sharing all these things many of us will never see or experience!
Great video! I'd kill for an original CIB Vectrex 3d imager! I do have the reproduction imager made by madtronix though, and it gets the job done.. Just as long as I can play the games on real hardware, I'm happy and it's all that truly matters. 😎
if you want to dump the vic20 cart, if you can open it without breaking it open, and check the chip sizes within, chances are they are a standard size of some type that can be dumped using a pc and eprom reader - if the cart is really dead for some other electronics reason, then maybe the eprom reader method is the only remaining option (hoping the roms / eproms are not damaged).
You might be able to get the Tymac cartridge working by painting a conductive layer back onto those contacts. Search for "Circuitwriter" on Amazon. It's not a permanent solution but it might work long enough to identify the game and possibly dump the ROM.
My neighbor growing up had pretty much the entire Vectrex set. 3D headset, light pen... the whole lot. Sadly he sold the whole set a few years back. :/
I never thought the day would come I have something “The Immortal John Hancock” doesn’t... but I have an Intellivision keyboard. 😲 I don’t think it’s THE big deal one that Mattel only made 4,000 of and recalled because it has no tape drive, but it’s a keyboard to use with the Intellivision. I got it over a decade ago along with a voice module and near a hundred CIB games.
I know you probably don't want to date your video. But a ball park figure for some of this stuff would be cool. Especially given how obscure some of this stuff is.
Value changes all the time, and it is not why I collect. I would use completed Ebay auctions for the few things that actually appear online. For the rest it is really subjective. It would not really help others at the moment it changes I would be called out for having out of date pricing.
No holy grail in vectrex,I have vectrex and all games and accessories boxed including this item.I think most do not know what true holy grails are. I have one a nhl genesis 97 test cart in which only 4 were ever made.
I am sharing MY holy grails. They may be different than yours. The 3D Imager was released in limited production in 1984. I would consider it very hard to find and a holy grail. Holy Grail Items do not have to be unreleased items.
Well said, John. Its your opinion. I have my own personal holy grails for collecting. It's subjective. Damn elitist collectors... Keep doing you, John! Love the content.
All I can do is watch and drool. Items I may never be able to own but know they are somewhere getting love and taking care of.Thanks for sharing, John.
OregonChronic, I believe it will eventually happen. As long as the younger generation stays or gets interested in retrogaming it will do well.
Great video John! I am not a big fan of collecting stuff older than NES/SMS because I don't have the same nostalgia for them, but I love the knowledge you provide for us on them. It's so interesting to see all this stuff.
What a great video. I really enjoyed it. I love seeing old gaming history that may be rare and/or forgotten for one reason or another.
Excellent video John. Keep them rolling in.
You truly seem like a genuinely humble, positive person, John. Keep up the hard work and congratulations on all of your successes!
This is an awesome idea from especially you John! Big fan and you've got such a gnarly collection and your knowledge too so yeh looking forward to MORE !!! Cheers m8!!!!!
Nice one. The Vic 20 was my first computer. I actually learned to program in basic and write my own games at that time.
I took a shot every time I heard the word “rare”....my liver exploded.
abstractheory1 I woke up in a dumpster across the US.
@@whoc4r3s117 thats very rare, i woke up in a ditch in germany.
@@whoc4r3s117 so did I , and I live in the UK.
Thanks for opening some of them up an amazing service for fellow collectors!
High time I repaired my Vectrex. I got it free from a colleague because it has a defect (you can hear sound but there's no picture except for one pixel, apparently a common fault and reasonably easy to fix).
Love your channel, looking forward to pt.2
I used to play that hangman game on the TI computer at my school in 6th grade. They also had an art cartridge that wasn't in your collection.
Unlike a lot of rare games/accessories, the Vectrex 3-D imager is actually a lot of fun to play and does a great job at doing 3-D!
Hope to see this series continue, dude.
Love the video, would love to see more of your rare stuff.
Thanks for All the time and effort you put into your videos to entertain us
I love rare and unusual don't get me wrong - however it's tough for me to get excited about pre-1985 game stuff. I love your videos John looking forward to the next few!

Awesome John! Love it! Things I have never seen or heard of! Keep it up!
Nice video John. I never knew there was a basic cartridge for the Intellivison computer component. Also, never knew about the Milton Bradley carts. for the TI-99 4/A. I believe I have the Summer Games cart. for the XL/XE. Thank You!!
Thank you for this video . Your the authority for vintage games in my opinion.
I remember playing Zero Zap! It is such a fun game. We had a TI-99/4A growing up in the early 80's. It's still boxed away along with all the cartridges in my parents basement.
Awesome collection John. Keep it 1st and 2nd generation!
Wow, nice find on that TI99 set! I love that system but have never seen carts like that before!
Awesome video I almost got a 3d imager a few times but its out of my budget so its great to see. Thanks for sharing I love obscure stuff like this!
John I love your videos. I actually gave up collecting rare games years ago. Just because a game is rare doesn’t mean it’s not dog shit. I still have a lot of rare titles. But now I only collect stuff, I will actually want to play. Owning ALf on the Master system is a waste for me.
I always love the respect you have for your games
Cool series.
Thanks John! 😀 Regards from Argentina 🇦🇷!
I want more of these!
As Darth Vader said so eloquently impressive most impressive

Cool stuff, I hit that like button. 👍
I'd like to hear from you about how you got the items as well, that's probably the best, reliving the experience of finding them.
i wouldnt mind longer videos about these more in depth

vintagegamecrazy would like to know how they are fixed.
Too cool. You're the man, John
How does the Vectrex 3D compare to the Sega Master System 3D?
Lon.TV I like both, but very different.
Vectrex will forever be the king, but cool seeing the other oddball stuff!
I love your content, John but... Now my envy rises up and consumes me. I hate you.
But I can't stay mad at you! Thanks for sharing all these things many of us will never see or experience!
Loved it!!! Waiting for more of these patiently! Still hate this opening.... 🙄
Great video love the history of video games
Great video! I'd kill for an original CIB Vectrex 3d imager! I do have the reproduction imager made by madtronix though, and it gets the job done.. Just as long as I can play the games on real hardware, I'm happy and it's all that truly matters. 😎

I really like that Atari hat John!
Did this ever have a part 2?
Final Fantasy for MSX2 is my holy grail. Unfortunately, it’s obscurity makes it a virtual impossibility.
Let’s see more rare and holy grail videos John
Do any of your games have cd rot?

What box protector do you use on the xe boxes?
Whoah, old intro! Made me check the date this was uploaded. lol

Mistah MegaManFan I have that one :)
What's the keyboard look like?
Isn't Atari XE cart of Summer games like several thousand dollars?!? As in 8 to 12 grand?
Reach out to the 8bit guy for help on the Tymac cart
when john says rare he freaking means impossible to find rare thats why we love you
9:37 A release tutu? Huh.
How much is this stuff worth now?
That's a really rare game
When does it start tho ?
You sound scan the intellivision basic keyboard manual so me people can see it. Retromags would happily host it :)
Ask the 8bit guy about your tymac vic 20 cart. He is the guy that might get it to work.
I know you probably don't want to date your video. But a ball park figure for some of this stuff would be cool. Especially given how obscure some of this stuff is.

Hey Imortal know anybody looking for a power base converter for the sega genesis
You talk like dr Steven brule. Its awesome
You should try and get that super Nintendo PlayStation tell them it’s for the museum LOL
Is it true Corey just gave you the Basic computer lot for free?? (Or not)
True, and we have done over 1000 transactions together and he is a trusted friend.
Did you say Pamplett ?
4:30 you need to clean those contacts. DON'T USE BRASSO!!! Use iso 90 plus and erasers, seriously.
Cool 👍😊
wow 😍
id like daggerfall sealed in box, also diablo on ps1
Thank you for the original intro music, hate the new one.
You collect for a TI-99 CALCULATOR? WTF
John have you got a holy grail or an item than means a lot to you, but isn’t worth a lot to anyone else?
Adrian Oneil yes many
Those are the best ones and always have fantastic stories behind them. 👍
Is that a Cat in the Hat game?? Saw it on the shelf in the background.
James Mincks yes
Why do haters thumbs down your videos? I just don’t get it...
Do people actually pay money for this? I admit it is rare but the people who actually played it as a kid are probably in their 50s or 60s now.
