Did a similar build this past spring. It eliminated the water completely from my bilge. I had the timer set for 1 minute each hour from 9 -pm-midnight.
Most of my water comes from washing down the anchor locker after the day.
No more mold in the console anymore!

That is awesome information. Glad it worked for you also. We set our timer for 3 minutes four times a day and seems to work really great. Keeps all the water out of the bilge. Thank you for following and hope the videos give you some great information.

Just watched this and Part 2. Did this work well?

It works fabulous! My bilge never has any water in it and that was not the case before installing the dry bilge system. It pumps it all out. I have it set to run for 3 minutes 3 times per day with 6 hours in between each run. The timer will let you set all that.

Why do you need the check valve? The Seaflo pump acts as a check valve.

That is a great question. If you do not use the check valve water will run back into the Seaflo pump when the regular bilge pump runs since they are both connected together. It is possible the regular bilge pump could overpower the Seaflo pump resulting in the water being pump back into the bilge. It is cheap insurance that will not happen. Thanks for watching and following us. Hope to see you on the water...

@@DreamWeaverSV The Seaflo pump can hold much more pressure than your bilge pump can produce. The check valve isn't hurting anything, but is not necessary.

@@jzkbbi1 Thanks for the info. When you build your system let everyone know how it does without the check valve. Thanks for watching.

Very interesting, as you don't mention anything special, it seems that the foam is just bolted to the plastic plate with the elbow, right? Right? Merry Christmas

Yes just bolt the pad to the plastic plate with the elbow attached. It will absorb and suck through the pad without removing the rough side of the pad. Thanks for following and Merry Christmas to you also.
