Hi there Mr. at 4;17 min, you unscrew something next to the fan also also apply some liquid or something. Is this what they call ''the Heatsink'' and also what that paste you apply??? Is that the paste for the heatsink??? I did the same thing as you did and realized that when i moved the thing next to the fan, the white/grey paste between in my laptop is kinda dry, very dry. What's your advice??? Thank you kindly
Hello, thank you for your vid on how to solve the overheating problem, I have the same model elite book, and it has just gone off...initially I thought it was not having a charge when I plugged it to power, I realized it's just blinking the charging LED, thinking its charging but it's not when it's charging the lights on the battery keeps on flashing when pressed, showing you how far the battery has charged, but when I pressed mine, it's not blinking when on charge still. Again I noticed when not on charge, the same charging LED still keeps on blinking, but it's not powering on, no fan noise it's just silent but stills blinks the same Led charging ...I hope you can get back to me, please
Useful video but with procedural errors. The dust must be removed away from the PC if you do not want to find it again inside ... The small screws must be removed with caution otherwise if one falls inside the PC you may need to disassemble it all. For the thermal paste it is better to put a ball in the center of the processor that the heatsink will make uniform by squeezing it. This is my opinion

REMEMBER!!! When cleaning the dust from inside the fan make sure it all lands on the motherboard in the open laptop below.
Hahahaha

How about the GpU? Should we remove the thermal pad and but some paste?
Seems like a bad idea to brush off the fan over the open laptop....
Is this upgradable?
