I was really impressed with Emma ' Sat Nav ' Navarro's run at Wimbledon and the US open. Another player that I was impressed with, from lower in the rankings was Danilovic. There is something about her game I really like and was one of the only players to push Collins in her amazing run midway through the season ( just losing to her at Madrid and then beating her at RG ). Thanks for all the WTA updates and have a wonderful Christmas and New year to everyone at QST 🥳
My favorite was the mid year surge of Donna Vekic. She played great and was very unlucky to not make the Wimbledon final, heartbreaking semi loss to Paolini 10-8 in final set t/b. She gave it everything but didn't get the luck right at the end. She managed to regroup and won silver medal at Olympics. Her final v Zheng was a bit of a letdown and she didn't show her usual doggedness, think she was just satisfied getting silver. She also had a big win over Sabalenka earlier in the year 6-0 in the 3rd. My wife and I met Donna in January at AO, got photos and videos with her and Pam.
@@whisper2441 amazing, we got to interview her multiple times at Wimbledon, feel free to check them out in our tennis interview playlist! She was great with the media
