    Hi
    I'm 12 years old and I will need to choose between track cycling and cyclocross for the winter months.
    What are the biggest advantages and disadvantages and what is the best to choose?

    nice nice, so how do I get to ride without becoming a pro? I'd like to do it as a hobby

      Check with your local velodrome or cycling club on come and try days! Most tracks have cycling clubs attached to them who operate weekly races, or come and try sessions for those interested in giving it a go.

    Good, but you didn't explain anything about the different coloured lines on the track!

      Black is the line that is measured from. (250m is measured from the black line)
      Red line is the sprinters line, if the rider sprints it attacks, once he crosses below the red line he can’t come out.
      The blue line is the stayers line, for resting riders in the Madison
