Its wonderful to hear these old country songs sung by a young generation. She reminds me of the old greats of country music. A voice of an angel with the heart of country music in her soul. Continued success to you Caroline Jones.
I had a 100% dalmatian his name was Forest! We saved him from a private shelter, that saved him from his abusers. He had the best life he could here and he still played ball, even after he went blind from cancer. RIP Forest the Dog...
Caroline, I’ve listened to four of your performances of “Old Blue”. Each is beautiful in its own way, but this one is my current overall favorite by a slight margin. I’ve always loved this song, so over time I’ve collected some exceptional arrangements. On this record you identify it as the Joan Baez version, so you are probably familiar with a number of other interesting interpretations such as byThe Byrds, JJ Cale, and James Taylor. But on the off chance you haven’t heard this 1962 live performance by the legendary Canadian duo Ian and Sylvia, I’m leaving a link here for you and your fans. It is just a b/w kinescope lo-fi recording clipped from an episode of the NBC weekly prime time folk concert show “Hootenanny”, but the outstanding performance shines through despite the limitations of television technology in 1962 (I was in 10th grade at the time). I think you’ll enjoy their tight harmony, which to me at times sounds like 3 rather than 2 voices, as well as their unique chord sequence for the chorus. I hope you don’t mind my leaving this here. th-cam.com/video/OwccBJxRchA/w-d-xo.html
