However, you should know that sewing and reaping is a universal law, not just biblical, and there have been studies that have shown the psychological benefits of giving, just another example of science catching up with the Bible. As for tithing, it’s really an Old Testament requirement of the Mosaic Law, which was fulfilled by Jesus. So tithing isn’t a requirement, but it should be done. It’s a matter of giving to support the church, missions, community, etc. and not letting money be your ruler. If you think that’s a bad thing, you are entitled to your opinion. However, you should know that sewing and reaping is a universal law, not just biblical, and there have been studies that have shown the psychological benefits of giving, just another example of science catching up with the Bible. He, like so many… is just reading too much into it. Humans conjured religion simply to understand the world around them better and to compile a set of “best practices” (i.e. wisdom) to live out better lives. That’s the purpose of all world religions. Pick one that fits for you and try to live out the best life you can.

You can’t debate religion with a man who studied ancient Egypt. Ancient Egypt pre-date the bible by thousands of yrs then there are the Sumerian tablets and papyrus scrolls. Those stories and concepts in the bible come from sumeria and egyptian teachings & stories. And were copied a little here and a little there to make that bible. The catholic church created Heaven and hell. One thing i will say. Do all your own research on Sumeria and ancient Egypt then come back and see if your view is still the same.

A fair and reasonable argument would be " that it is important to separate the truth of God's word from the lies of man, right?" God promises salvation to all who call on Him. The Bible pacifying slaves really? Who has the time and energy to produce such a work to keep a minority of people quiet.
