Completely agree. Glad someone agrees. I don't know a single person that listens to this band and it's kinda cool but also sucks cause I wanna talk about it with someone);
Put Me Together Everything Everything [Verse 1] Why do you look so old? Was it something that I said? Funny to think of me Just as you're leaving [Chorus] And there's somebody washing the car And there's somebody watching the children But they're nothing like you and me They're nothing like you and me They celebrate all of the same days And you see them out doing the garden But they're nothing like you and me Nothing like you and me [Verse 2] Why does it always end With a total goodbye? Give me a replay I can work harder [Chorus] And there's somebody washing the car And there's somebody watching the children But they're nothing like you and me They're nothing like you and me They celebrate all of the same days And you see them out doing the garden But they're nothing like you and me Nothing like you and me [Bridge] And they turn and look out of the window And they're staring right through me and I know That they never lived there at all They never were there at all What do you mean you don't know me? I've been sleeping I've been sleeping [Verse 3] Is it the darkest night Or is that dawn in your eyes? Pull me apart and Put me together [Chorus] And there's somebody washing the car And there's somebody watching the children They're nothing like you and me Nothing like you and me They celebrate all of the same days You see them out doing the garden But they're nothing like you and me Nothing like you and me Nothing like you and me [Post-Chorus] Oh, I didn't mean it, I didn't mean it [Outro] I've been sleeping I'm never leaving I'm never leaving I'm never leaving
A beautiful song about the mistrust of our neighbours caused by Brexit and other aspects of the Culture Wars. We used to be tolerant of each others beliefs but now someone is all too often "the other" if they don't share our beliefs.
EE are obviously a part of the wave of bands inspired by Radiohead (even taking their name from the first two words on Kid A), but this is the only song of theirs which really sounds like Radiohead, to me at least. It's beautiful and makes me cry.
@@EdwardSturdy I'm just on my first listen funnily enough but yeah I already thought "It was a monstering" was very Radiohead. Still too early to have any proper opinions...
Can't believe that this song hasn't got more attention on TH-cam - it's a stunning song.
In my opinion one of the best songs in the album :)

Put Me Together
Everything Everything
[Verse 1]
Why do you look so old?
Was it something that I said?
Funny to think of me
Just as you're leaving
[Chorus]
And there's somebody washing the car
And there's somebody watching the children
But they're nothing like you and me
They're nothing like you and me
They celebrate all of the same days
And you see them out doing the garden
But they're nothing like you and me
Nothing like you and me
[Verse 2]
Why does it always end
With a total goodbye?
Give me a replay
I can work harder
[Chorus]
And there's somebody washing the car
And there's somebody watching the children
But they're nothing like you and me
They're nothing like you and me
They celebrate all of the same days
And you see them out doing the garden
But they're nothing like you and me
Nothing like you and me
[Bridge]
And they turn and look out of the window
And they're staring right through me and I know
That they never lived there at all
They never were there at all
What do you mean you don't know me?
I've been sleeping
I've been sleeping
[Verse 3]
Is it the darkest night
Or is that dawn in your eyes?
Pull me apart and
Put me together
[Chorus]
And there's somebody washing the car
And there's somebody watching the children
They're nothing like you and me
Nothing like you and me
They celebrate all of the same days
You see them out doing the garden
But they're nothing like you and me
Nothing like you and me
Nothing like you and me
[Post-Chorus]
Oh, I didn't mean it, I didn't mean it
[Outro]
I've been sleeping
I'm never leaving
I'm never leaving
I'm never leaving
This song makes me think of the married couple in Revolutionary Road

Listen to the new album, Trapdoor, Monstering and Moonlight all sound very Radiohead

This is definitely the best Everything Everything track, can anyone dispute that?
The beauty of EE is that all of their songs feel like their best song, when you're in them.
It's great. But I honestly don't even think it's the best song on this album, let alone their song in general.
