Hi David, I just ordered the game yesterday. You make the video really easy for people to understand. You are in the bottom of the 3rd, and I feel like I already understand it. I have owned Strat Baseball for years and a couple of years ago purchased APBA Baseball. I am looking forward to giving this a try. Thank you.
David/Baseball Demos. Thanks for this video. I was always very lost when watching this game being played. I am still a little deep in the forest but at least I see a way out now to the highway.
Thanks for posting this. I don't think Replay gets the attention it deserves. Great batter pitcher interface. Does take a few games to get the play routine down. My favorite game.
I am sure this will help many people including me... while I am familiar with the game I certainly not an expert so this will help a bunch... thanks...
20:13 Best way lighting with an overhead camera set up is to use 2 defused lights angled 45⁰ on each side. The light will come in and bounce off (like a "V") therefore the light will not bounce directly back onto the camera lens.
This is very good instructional video of the game. I do my research on these tabletop baseball games and Replay is definitely in my top 3.. its one I've played the most with the demo, Haven't actually gotten a copy cause I go hot and cold with it.. I prefer another game engine a little more But Replay's presentation is top notch, the PC version is second to none.. I know you're big on splits, as long as a game has a presence of splits, that's good enough for me. One nitpick for me is you can run into rare play chances and it feels a bit uninspired to get there.. even if the rare plays are excellent. Had way too many dribblers to the mound lol.. but my main flaw to the game is just a personal preference.. It feels very much like a REPLAY game to the point that it tries to force situations, even if you're not doing as played. Like steals, pickoff attempts etc being baked in. I don't know how big of an issue in practice that is for me, I think its a great game, great for a replay... but a short series or tournament? I don't know.. I say all this to say, I probably will pick up a copy soon.. Its a very good game and having it on the channel is cool. will keep watching more.
Great video. Just getting into Replay Baseball as well after playing a ton of Inside Pitch and SOM. IP is still my number one game but seems there is now a lot of IP content out there. Have you considered a Replay project or maybe replacing or adding Replay into your 1975 rotation? I’m also starting POP so I do enjoy your Yankees replay.
You may have mentioned this and I missed it but can you address RP endurance? Specifically their Bonus Inning? Thanks for such a detailed played through. This is really helpful. This is probably my third time watching it
David, when you have play results referencing the blue die AFTER the initial R-W-B roll do you stick w the blue die that was used on pitcher card or reroll it?
@@BaseballDemos sorry to keep asking but I'm newer to the game. At the 1 hour 06 mark there is a 2-4-2 roll which leads to a 60 w raised 4. I do understand why ballpark not involved because it was not shaded orange. But do you completely ignore Appier's 1 at column 2 row 2? I'm not following how you get to 65 as the result unless it's 60 off batter plus Appier's 1 then add the 4? I see also per my initial question about do you reroll the blue if it's needed for fielder checks that you used the initial 2. That's why I thought maybe on raised scenarios like that you don't use pitcher card. Appreciate any clarity there so I learn proper way. Think it's a great game and great video.
Many Replay results on the board are in ranges. When I mention on a 60 for the batter means pitcher result doesn't matter, it's because no matter what the pitcher rating is (1-5) the final result still falls into the 61-65 result range.

Thank you, David. I recently got Replay and this was a great help in understanding how to play the game.
Fantastic video! I'll be rewatching this again too.

Thanks David. Am just getting into Replay and following along with the book is very helpful!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!! This is one that I will watch over many times. Awesome. Great Job, Appreciate it very much.

Man this is great, I just broke back out Replay Baseball this weekend and I was struggling a little.

Thanks! Great video for this beginner!
Just what I need! I always get lost on this game!

You Nick pick way too much just try to enjoy this beautiful game
@@earlchristensen4795 I have the game on my table right now. I love it. I still have fair criticisms.

I will be doing some project in Replay with the 1993 season.. just not sure what that will be yet
If you are adding pitcher and hitter cards, does the chart not have a ! result? It is hard to see top of chart on video.

I think it should be re-rolled. Once a die result has been used, a fresh result should be obtained.

Thanks, this game has real potential. 😊 6:52 6:52 6:53 6:53
looks like an "old" version. now, the book is replaced with a tri-fold piece. Keeps from flippin' tab to tab. Or, did they go back to spiral book ???
Newest version has the trifold.
Is baserunning rated?
I wish they still made the spiral bound book. I would much rather have that than the trifold
Great video.
the K has no value in this game. in col. 1 the default for not a K is a popout. doesn't make sense to me. K's should displace possible hits IMO.
