Anthony Gonzalez ?
Yeah well they have burning problems bigger then earthquakes
I’m from japan it’s literally part of my life now
People reacting to a 5.1 earthquake
North Carolina: 😱
California: 😎
😜
The sad thing is that California had a bigger earth quake then this :(
Cause they dont get earthquakes....
Kintsugi yea it was 100 years since nc had an earthquake
We not goin talk about how the towns name is sparta
There's a place in Texas called 'Earth' no lie.
I live in horneytown North Carolina. It's a real place, look it up haha
@@Young_Dab i know i live near texas who th named these towns and why
This is Sparta!!!!!!!!
Thank you! I was hoping someone pointed it out.
If no one is around or near the reporter, why is she wearing a mask??
people are loosing it... sad.... :(
I live in Concord, NC just 10 minutes from Charlotte. I woke up to the house shaking and crackling. I thought I was going crazy. Wild!
Same
I live in Kannapolis. I felt it too. Rattled things but no damage. Found out from a Baltimore TV station online. Then I knew I felt something.
Same! I live near lake Wylie and woke up to what I thought was someone jumping on my bed and when I saw there was no one there I thought I was going crazy lol
I live in Charlotte, I felt a tiny shake in my feet, thought I was having a stroke as a 22 year old lol
Gonna be honest, I was dead sleep, I felt nothing and thought it was just thunder
Lol same i never knew we had a earthquake
Thunderstorms have been pretty frequent lately so I can’t blame you didi munster
Californians be watching like
"A 5.1 earthquake? Thats cute"
It is, because I'm sure buildings in North Carolina have buildings built for earthquakes. 😄
facts like we had a five a couple weeks ago that originated right under my house at 4 am and we just went back to sleep... we had a 7 last year and we didn’t care. y’all are babies.
LMAO
For Californians to feel a sense of pride of the earthquakes here is absolutely stupid! "5.1 earthquake? That's cute".... oh shut up!!!! We are milked-breast sucking infants compared to CHILE and JAPAN.
All you can recall is probably the 94 northridge earthquake which was just a 6.7. - not even a 7 like ridgecrest. Oh but don't worry, you'll experience a megaquake soon enough, and maybe JUST maybe you can throw this ridiculous comment of yours!
@@Libramaster84 How about the 9.2 whopper that hit Alaska in 1964?
There could be a truly horrific earthquake in NC and we’d still try and eat at Bojangles
Lol
Lol
Lol
I live in nc and I hate eating there
peytonnn.a Don’t take this personally, but you are no longer allowed to live in North Carolina
Californians watching like, “that must have been a fun little ride”
Reporter acting like she's in a Shakespeare play.
is she wearing her undies on her face?
It’s hi art for anchor ... yeah you can annunciate a lot better without the encumbrance of that diaper
Caroline Mcloed thank you Ms Caroline,I was afraid to say it, but that was the first think I thought also!🤣🤣🤣🤔🤔🤔🙀🙀🙀
@Frenk Frenk because it's propaganda.

I’m from California, I eat 5.1 EQ for breakfast. I hope I’m not being negative.

carlo barbieri Now that’s an earthquake
all they had to do is yell THIS IS SPARTA!! and so no one got hurt.
Why is that woman wearing a baby underwear in front of her face?
Thats hilarious..good one !
Where else is your face at
some people dont have masks, so they have to use whatever they have.
chef yalien they were joking about her mask because it looks like underwear
I thought it was a thong!
She is wearing underware on her face
Thats exactly what I was thinking ..lol
i hate to think of where her mask is, LOL.
Underwear
Yep spelled it wrong.thx
@@kevinmccance2777 ☺
Hope everyone is safe and ok. Maybe I'll find another news anchor who ain't talkin through underwear and find out more.
😂 😂 😂
Listen up News reporters , you can take off your mask when you're 6 feet away from anyone. Especially outside ! I mean, it's really ridiculous to do a news report wearing a mask. Not just this girl, I've seen lots of reporters do that
I like a T-shirt tha says “I survive 2020”😂
California be like, That’s it???? Lol
More like Japan
dogsareawesome 9197 Naw japan has 1500 a year California has had 12,500. Its said California has constant earthquakes there just so small no one can feel them
8/23/2011 almost 9 years ago same thing in VA, MD etc.
THERE'S NOBODY IN SIGHT AROUND THAT REPORTER AND SHE'S OUTSIDE, WHY SHE WEARING THE MASK??
The end is here look for God!!
jaggedbrain the camera man
The cameraman, the onlookers. Either way she's doing it for others not herself. Kind of like a man peeing without pants on. It gets on others.

I SURVIVED THE YEAR 2020
I bet that gunna be the next I survived book
2:48 aw Manuel, you are adorable buddy. Hope your knee gets better soon! 💜
He’s my god brother👁👄👁
It was pretty strong for NC, we had one in January that knocked out power where I was working, very briefly. My brother experienced a quake while in school in Asheville in May. So they're not uncommon here, there is a fault line along the NC TN border, we just don't feel them very often
A sign of bigger quakes to come?

@@Rom_818 Thanks. Amen
I've been feeling tremors for months in western Kentucky felt some about the time this hit
And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.
AMEN!
Check out Alaska, 1964. Imagine something like that hitting an unprepared city like Boston.
I’ve been through much worse than that and my father was on the Bay Bridge in 1989 when the magnitude 7.1 earthquake hit. Well I hope that will be fine end of the sharing
Tell your reporter to take off her mask when she is talking! For goodness sake, she was so garbled you couldn’t understand a thing she was saying,
😂😷✌
Christ, try harder.
No you're just stupid and hard at hearing.
I heard her just fine 🙂
Honestly, I didn't even feel it cause I was sleeping and I live in North Carolina
People are always like “omg 2020 is the worst year ever!” Well it isn’t. The year 1347 would like to speak with you.
In our lifetime is what they meant, I agree!!
Take the flippin mask off! There is no one near this reporter and it discredits anything she says!!
I agree, she made a fool of herself.. I'll bet she wears a mask to bed at night..
tina e totally agree with you. News talkers w masks on, it's also rude.
😂🤣😆😂🤣😅😂 laughed myself silly over that joker looking diaper mask. Smh if Aliens come next ...they gonna think we hoomans are nuttttssss!!!😷
Hmmm. Wonder who was filming and who was doing the sound? I mean...if nobody was there?
I felt them many times in Los Angeles California...not fun at all...I can imagine how shaken up they were..God protect us.🙏😐
I’m having a hard time hearing that reporter 😩
Felt it in kernersville nc woke me up
Today was my first experience with a earthquake
Why is she wearing a mask? nobody is around her and she is in fresh air...its getting a bit ridiculous .... ;(
Yes you are
I think she wants to be a good example. Not a wise mask choice tho :)
Better to be safe than sorry my dude

It's the news, they have to make it look like what they want us to believe, in hot weather where a virus cant survive, it still can on the news.
I was thinking the same thing.. She made a fool of herself.. She probably wears a mask to bed at night..
Why don't you visit CA and repeat what you said again.
@@urbanecobeauty yes you're absolutely right - oh by the way, its also hot in Brazil, and they have 100,000 COVID-19 deaths and 3 million COVID-19 cases... Oh, and it's also hot in Florida, Texas, and Arizona to name a few, and yet.....
...But you're right, you're right. It's all fake and people (myself included) are lying when they cry saying their loved one died from COVID-19.
You're right, it's all fake and masks are the devil. You're right.
my niece said that she felt it in SC as well she's on the boarder of NC
Woke up to my bed shaking. I'm an hour SW of Charlotte
Im in Spartanburg SC and we felt it here..really weird!

You might check out the earthquake forecaster on TH-cam called Dutchsinse.
did he predict this?
WHY ARE U WEARING A MASK ?
Certainly got me out of bed quick this morning...
BTW... take that face mask off while you're reporting you're not going to get the camera or mic sick...sssshhsss...
So true indeed!💪💪
I was on our back deck yesterday morning in sparta tn and felt the slight shaking. I was a little confused b/c I thought, this feels like an earthquake. Is that possible here in tn? It didnt feel like the one I experienced in md back in 2012. I wasnt sure what happened til I watched the evening news. Prayers to the people in nc.
Yup I felt that suckered this morning. I live in Raleigh bed and lamps was shaking. Felt really weird
I live in Ennice North Carolina about a mile from Sparta and I was in my sister’s room when it happened I was terrified what the heck happened and when I found out it was a earthquake I was scared out of my mind when it happened also at 2:00 am that morning before the 5.1 earthquake happened I thought I shook my bed but I found out that that was an earthquake I hope everyone is safe and that it’s over with
Hope you all are safe!!!
Felt it in High Point, a little over an hour away. My daughter was there on vacation. She said cows took off running.
I'm in HP. It woke me up
I live in raleigh and felt nothing. I think when people hear there was a quake, they want to claim they felt it. I know a 5.1 quake is a bone shaker, I grew up in So Calif, but claiming it was felt across the state and up and down the east coast is a bit much.
Not true. I'm in Rockingham & I felt it and so did my 11 yr old son! He came running as I was cooking breakfast to ask " Mom what was that?" Lighting & plants shaking house vibrated & felt a weird tremor! Didn't see earthquake news til an hour later!
I agree. I live about 1 hour from Sparta and we didn't feel any shaking ..
Well I live in Lincolnton NC and I definitely felt it. I was sitting on my bed and felt it shaking. It was strong enough to make me jump up off the bed.
O my God take care everyone ,please .
Say what?? I live in CA and I get these all the time but hardly hear of them elsewhere other than Nevada.
Felt it at my house in Kannapolis - things rattled but no damage. First quake in my life. Now I'm singing "I feel the Earth move under my feet" by Carole King.
Must suck to have a quake and not have earthquake proof homes.
You are 😍😍
@@immaaprettygurl1943 cool
California: "State of Emergency for a 5.1 magnitude?! Yawn."
Most of us faults that formed the Appalachians are very deeply buried, so much so, that we barely feel the tiny quakes we get a couple of times a year. We were well overdue for a "shake" as my great-grandmother called the last "big" one in 1916. Very slim chance of the NC coastline falling off in the ocean unlike, say California.
Having stronger quakes is a bragging point for California? 🤔🤦♀️
Your outside you can take your mask off lol 😅
I'm from CA, moved to Utah. When we had one early in the year, I was terrified. Alone at home, power went out, aftershocks all day long. I guess growing up in CA didn't make me immune to fear of quakes.
I hope you don't vote Democrat or you can go back to California.
@@cathyvanasse4886 LOLOLOL you're so effing funny.
Wow that's strange! Yesterday's was 5.1 also
I live in North Carolina Charlotte but we had a 2.5 earthquake
Bad news: No insurance for earthquake damages. The option to purchase earthquake coverage was listed in the property coverage rating manuals, like the industry -wide Insurance Service Office manuals(ISO). Hardly any policyholders residing in the eastern states applied for this optional coverage. Since this disaster, quake coverage will become either extremely expensive or not available on the standard insurance market.
I was half asleep in my home in Oak Ridge NC and I heard what I thought was construction noise and I thought there's no contruction going on on my street and I woke up and I saw my desk shaking a little and I'm like what the heck is going on? Then it was over just like that and then it dawned on me an eathquake had occurred! I was upstairs and felt it and my parents were downstairs and didn't feel it at all! Craziest thing I've ever experienced!
I’m in nc and my mom said I slept through the whole thing and I felt nothing
Don't you feel stupid having to wear that mask
Being from California a 5.1 is like nothing
Once you hit 6 that is when you can really feel it. It’s crazy how different it is for people who don’t feel this often. Also the difference in how things are built a 5.1 would do very minimal damage her, maybe some things knocked over. Just very different in other places than California.
yeah, it's just like a Hurricane in FL... anything under a 3 is just a rainy day... and our houses are built to withstand a cat 5...
Cali's used to it - same way other places wouldn't sweat hurricanes or tornadoes under a certain #.
Mack N yep
You guys are on loose ground so a 7.0 might actually feel like the 5.1 here that's on solid granite. No one would be casual with what I felt and you would not have slept through it unless you had taken meds to sleep. It was violent and loud! I do know people within twenty miles of the epicenter that felt it but it was just so so. I'm within 2kilometers of the epicenter on a ridge top of granite and I was extremely happy when it was over. I don't scare easily and I've also been in California during earthquakes, This thing scared me. I can't imagine being in what happened in San Fran or anchorage Alaska.
in 2012 when the brawley quakes happened all the shelves were emptied.. its a matter of how close you are, 5.0 can most definitely cause extreme damage
That mask looks so stupid. YOU ARE OUTSIDE!!!!!!!
I agree 😂🤣
Exactly !!! ...people are definitely like sheep.
The mask may look stupid, but it works and protects. The problem you have is more difficult to fix. You are stupid in the brain.
@@GauravSharma2106 Duke did a test on different types of mask. The only one that worked was the N95. Anything else only prevented droplets from easily passing through the mask. Some materials actually made it worse.
@@GauravSharma2106 It works? Look on the box of masks that you have purchased, any brand, and it says right ON the box "it does NOT protect you from Covid-19". Put your phone down and go look if you don't believe me. You have been duped by our government.
Yes thank goodness no one hurt 🙏🙏
A few hours ago i was taking a depressing nap. And i get messages and calls from family that i haven’t talk to in a few years. And i answered my grandma. She ask me if we were okay. Bc she thought the earthquake hit us. But i told her and also the other family that no. And that we are okay. I live in South Carolina.
What is the name of the fault line in that area?
I think it's the New Madrid fault line..

I remember waking up to the house shaking. Luckily where I was it didn't do damage.
We felt it in SC
2020 keeps getting better!!
a 5.1? destroyed a building? i’m from los angeles and a 5.7 hit us sometime ago and i was right over the spot and i just went back to sleep. like barely anyone felt it. y’all r just really dramatic... we had a 7.1 last year and we just went on like...
bruh a 7.0 happened in my city in alaska along with a 6.8 right after, the worse thing that happened was a couple streets opened, and even that, we got them fixed in a day or 2
I literally just slept through this, didn’t even feel it, I’m in like the middle of North Carolina
If this is what happens in a 5.1 earthquake I'd be afraid to live there. As a Californian I'd move far far away from any house that falls apart at that magnitude.
Are you ok or aret be safe
I live in Raleigh and I felt it a little
Wow 😳
Wearing a mask when you’re doing a stand up with no one close is ridiculous.
"here's a map" yes thank you. I would not have recognized it as such otherwise.
I live in the East part of Tennessee we could feel it not as bad though

A wave of rumbles is a perfect description. We were not in the NC area to experience this one but felt two in other locations. We actually saw the "wave of rolling action" flow thru our house the first time. It sounds strange to say "I saw the earthquake " but that is exactly what we saw.
I didn't feel a thing in Asheville.
Five point one..? No this was a mild quake. 5.1 would flatten the houses. Much more damage.
I'm so happy I live the South of both Carolina I hear the aftershock it woke me up but I was sleeping thank god
Came on in 2010 we have the 7.2 south of California .
