It is on the smaller side but from what my self and a few friends have noticed if you give them.do big of a space they don't use it all. I've had him in a 4 ft tank and he only stayed on 1 half real. This tank is a 36 but it's got two canisters and a .5 gal fry tank that the filter runs into so the tank has about 45 gallons of water through out the system. But to be 100% honest I think a 60 cube is the perfect size for a fh
I have 9 flowerhorn in a 30 gallon tank, they are small right now, is that too many? They swim around but when you pass by they all go to a corner is that normal
Yes that is way too many. Even for one fish, that is too small, please separate them if you haven’t already, once they grow larger they can get aggressive because of such little space.
Honestly it's really preference. But I know in my personal keeping and the 10 or so flower horn that I've had most of them just didn't like the sand and would push it out of the way. And if he is a pebble substrate and you feed a pelopotted diet the flower horn can mistake A pebble for a pellet and accidentally eat the rocks leaving them in packed and their bowels. And that can kill the fish A bear bottom is easier to keep clean but like I said it's really just preference
He isn't as bright as usual becuase he stops eating when the female produces eggs and after the last time his never picked back up on eating he went alittle more then 3 months without eating . He finally ate like a week ago.
The equipment setup alone is nuts compared to my 90g flowerhorn tank. Sweet video definitely grabbed some ideas from it !
