Those vans are sweet I live part time in a vw transporter it’s tiny after 3 or 4 days I drop in and stay with family and I find I run out of things to do or it gets a bit lonely having 2 of you travelling together would be rad
Supposed to use 2x2 and foam insulation boards with thin outside sheeting and mount it to the bed like a camper shell and use a little bit of metal for extra support and take advantage of stake pockets on bed
@@Jacob0481 when he was in the end of video talking about his build for his truck he said 2x4 and alot of them that would be alot of weight so to keep down on weight use lighter material and better ways for structural support and keep the extra room in the bed for building storage compartments I have put alot of thought into building my truck into a camper but didn't want it permanent and didn't want a slide in so now I have the idea of the truck top pop up for us tall people

having a small bed is teh worst especially when on the road, theres no reason why you cant make a foldable bed so its a good size when youre sleeping but isnt in the way when you need the space. like putting a mattress on the floor would be more comfortable than sleeping on that cramped bed
