Love how this song begins as the most beautiful tender ballad I’ve ever heard - and ends as the most hardcore punk song - all in just 3 minutes flat.

This song is absolutely amazing. One of the many reasons I love this band more than any band around today is that I can visit TH-cam, thinking I have seen and heard everything these guys have ever written, and discover incredible songs that I would have never otherwise heard. This song is truly a testament to their virtuosity as musicians and as people with a passion to share their love and energy. This, like every other song of their's, released or not, is a seriously smooth jam. I miss John.

Everytime i find a new song of the Peppers, i ask to myself "Why on Earth that piece of gold is not on an album?"
This was one of many songs they wrote for an album that was supposed to come out after By The Way but it never got released....I think they had already moved in a different direction by the time they finished it and just decided to focus on that. They did however play some of those songs live though such as this one and Leverage of Space. Hopefully the studio versions of that album will be released/leaked one day!

This song is one of the four RHCP songs with brackets, others being Snow ((Hey Oh)), which actually has double brackets for some reason, Politician (Mini Rap), which is, as the name suggests, a short freestyle by Kiedis re-used in Power of Equality, and Hollywood (Africa), which was a cover. Useless information, I know, but I personally love songs with extended titles. Makes them more interesting.

There's a lot of chord progressions John uses in multiple songs. Before The Beginning shares on I Could Have Lied. Fallout and Scar Tissue have similar ones.

@LuXunish i think its an unreleased song from the Greatest Hits sessions that made the likes of Save The Population and Fortune Faded. Other unreleased songs from that are Rolling Sly Stone and Leverage Of Space
