Saw the doc this past weekend: I LIVED. THAT is what fashion used to be about before the world became red carpet/paparazzi label obsessed. There was daring...individuality and imagination! Years ago I found the book the doc was based on in an English bookshop in my town; it's WONDERFUL. The stories and images Vreeland conjures up as she regales you with tales describing the exploits in her life- anyone who becomes giddy or breathless from all things STYLE, it's perfect vacation reading!
I adore watching documentaries/biographies about creative people and how their passions navigate their destiny. Art, entertainment, fashion and comedy are some of my favorites. May I suggest...Halston-Ultrasuede, Coco Chanel, Andy Warhol-The Complete Picture; just to name a few.
i loved it, and when i saw your mom at one of diana's met costume galas briefly i was like YESSS i love both diana's now :-) she was amazing and such a trailblazer for Vogue and Fashion in general, and to have had no formal educational training is astounding, i adore her and am hooked on her right now :-)
You are a breath of fresh air. I could book the day off work and just watch you all day. Love the lips, and the fresh look. Sometimes when I'm in a rush and haven't got time for make-up with running around after 2 little boys, I just put on a nice lip colour. Makes me feel like I made some sort of effort to look after myself, cause a 4 and 2 year old certainly take it out of you. And yes that cover was wicked.

Is this why her character on "Girlfriends" always dressed to the 9s?? Joan Clayton had one of the best wardrobes I have ever seen! I love that Tracee has this fashion knowledge and sense, ah so much to learn!!! :)
I also like documentaries about similar characteristics. But, I have recently gotten into the ones about students and education. I will say that I did recently watch a Japanese documentary on Netflix called Jiro. I love seeing people who love doing something and he and his family do love their family business. And, that magazine cover? That lipstick is spot-on! LOVE IT. I like your lipstick, too. Lol.

You're so down to earth. I have hair type like yours for sure. 3c hair or "mixed hair fro" as I like to call it. LOL. It's amazing that our hair looks so big, full and voluptuous when its worn lose. But when put in ponytails it look so small and unimpressive.

I envy the people who live where they show great movies. In Oklahoma the interesting films bypass us for the big metro areas on either coasts, so we rely on PBS' Independent Lens and POV. By the way I hope you weren't in a theater sounding like the girl from "When Harry Met Sally"! Haha
