Final Space will be leaving Netflix on Dec 15th! We don’t have much time. (Appreciate ya'll for liking and subscribing. I'll try to post more weekly like this)
Canceling a show prematurely always sucks (Firefly et al), but disintegrating it for tax purposes, so it’s gone forever, instead of selling it downstream to another service feels actively evil. @miljanykanen4842, it’s out there if you look for it but I can’t point you to it or Voldemort might find it and have it taken down. (But it’s not a torrent, it’s just on a site)
I loved this show from beginning to end, hearing its cancellations was one of the biggest missed opportunities for the studio. But I do agree that Olan's battle to keep final space alive is one of the things thats so admirable about him, the studio told him they could give final space like an hour long special to finish the series and he turned it down because he knew he couldn't finish the series off like that especially with how many loose ends were in the ending of season 3. It just goes to show the type of person Olan is and how hes always willing to put in the work. Ps whats the bgm u used
All the love and wit for the show. Like 90% of that was only in season 1. And then it goes off the rails and ties to be that teenage edgy wacky zaney personality driven show. (That you already know and hate.) It got canceled because it wasn't successful enough. That's how show business is. Shows are popular when they are really solid to begin with, people know when the show has love and attention given to it by its creators. Sometimes show runners need their projects pulled so they can see what they did wrong, come back with something better that builds on its own idiom and style. Its harsh. But this describes success.
I pre-ordered the comic that Olan's working on and I have 0 regrets, even if it ends up coming out three or four or five years from now. This series was an absolute masterpiece and didn't get what it deserved.
You lost me in the tonal shift when they farted after one of the characters got killed off. Then the character came right back to life next episode. Emotional investment erased. Masterpiece? You can like whatever you want. But this is no classic, no masterpiece, no great legacy will be left behind.

With that merger and the people that had the decision to get rid of final space are going to be sorry when they see how many copies of the graphic novel sold.
I was heartbroken when they cancelled it. It was .. emotional? Heartfelt? Funny? Immature? Or all of the above? It was a great mixture of things. I love Rick and Morty but that never was like the Final Soace and it will never be.
so.. I really really loved the humor in the show, it's a burrowing kind of humor that has forever stayed with me. the only reason why I struggled w it so much is because of how hopeless it all felt, I was on this journey with these people and the entire time my heart was breaking for them. it was just so heccin heart breakingggg T.T but I loved it so much and I honestly feel that seeing it made me richer ❤
never met Olan, but I'm a long-time fan and got multiple autographs and posters of him and his quotes. I was hyped when the pilot was released and loved final space, the problem was that it had a dip in S2 and even I lost focus and a lot of others. But when it ended my body wanted more, and it got canceled. I have a hole in my heart. I bought the final space graphic novel that's coming this/next year and I'm really looking forward to it.
Its not Netflix's fault. They were under contract to air it as long as it was in thr contract. Contract sadly ended and so did thr streaming rights for the show
I first saw this show back in Spring of 2018, when I was in 7th grade, and I enjoyed it!! I saw the entire first season, and half of the second season, but after that, I forgot about the show and I found out back in 2023 that it was cancelled in 2021, and I was surprised and upset😢
Final Space was pretty good, very solid work that deserved to see a conclusion. That being said, while I was watching it as it was beign released, it really felt like it was dragging its feet in places. The last season felt like it would've been a good place to wrap up and not make another season that doesn't give you an ending. But that's either due to meddling from the top ("we have a streaming service, series needs to be able to be renewed if the watch numbers are good!"), or maybe some inexperience from the creator ("I got this one show greenlit, I need to put *everything* into it!")...
I personally felt like the original story arc should have wrapped up in season 2, and a new plotline started for season 3. I chalked it up to a fresh creator with an excess of optimism. Glad it's getting an ending in one form or another.
The way season 3 was left on a cliff hanger i feel done dirty, the show was amazing filled with amazing actors like steven yeun an david tenent i miss this show so much
Such a great show, currently giving it a rewatch and the way Final Space handles character development is so refreshing to see. Characters really learn lessons and change in a way I haven't seen from many other adult animated shows
I have serious issues with the show's tonal consistency and handling of its characters. I think you're not old enough to order alcohol. And so your ideas are likewise...unrefined. Everyone's gotta start somewhere, but please, if you write stories, please don't handle character deaths like this trash fire did.
@@Moe_Posting_Chad I think you have bad taste in storytelling. So your opinions are likewise…hot garbage. Everyone’s gotta start somewhere but your take just comes across as pretentious yapping. Final Space is peak. Cope & Seethe, weeb.
@@Moe_Posting_Chad you're stating opinion. Not everyone gonna like the same things as you, and i'm sure you're aware of that. Like I get where you are coming from with bringing back a death, ya that part was trash. my main problem is I really just don't understand why you couldn't move on rather just shit comment to everyone that likes the show, I am sure they're better ways to show some respect. I love final space, but I ain't blind to the flaws. I don't think anyone is blind to it, the flaws are very noticeable.
I watched Final Space not expecting much. Just something to have on whilst I had lunch. But man, did it grow on me. A lot. Those bastards did Olan and co dirty. This show was great.
Man- I loved Final Space for the first few seasons. Great show- followed it from the pilot. That said- I could not handle season 3, a lot of the internet seems to like it but it honestly did not work for me. Zero laughs, hated the constant mc-guffin chasing, waaay too many dramatic speeches when they reached what seemed like a dead end followed by a really convenient event to move the story forward. That said, I still love the creators work and look forward to more of their pilots and work- I also know there were a lot of issues with season 3.
I started getting tired of it cause someone started to "die" every single episode just to be rescued that very same episode. It just felt like everything was so dramatic that it was hard to figure out what was important and what wasnt
I loved Final Space, Up until he had Gary go and try and save Ash and Fox, HE KNEW WHAT WOULD HAPPEN(ie. get so obviously framed for Fox's perma-death. Such a cliche and lazy plot contradiction.), Gary is not an idiot or retard; he could have just asked anyone or everyone present to go save him instead. There is nothing in Gary's personality that would make him be blindly heroic or brave and make such a poor decision...IMO
I enjoyed season 3 it was better in my opinion, I loved the action, although everyone saw Gary having arm weapons because his robot arm came from a SAME
Because it has Conan O'Brian's name attached to it, you assume comedy, and the first season had more slapstick comedy. However, the show evolves past it origins to become an amalgamation of all the best syfy/drama/comedy tropes.
So much amazing talent voiced this show it’s a shame it never caught on. Gary could be annoying in season 1 so that didn’t help but it probably just got drowned out by all the choices we have in what to watch these days
My soul was crushed when I heard this show was cancelled. After all these years I feel like it should still be finished. I hope his new show "Godspeed" will be even better!
I love this show with all my hearth. No se cuando, ni donde, ni como, pero tengo la certeza que va a regresar, y cuando lo haga, espero poder trabajar en el equipo de un proyecto tan lleno de corazón como este.
Final space was absolutely amazing, I got all my friends into it, I think it's biggest strength is just how much you start to care about the characters and when something traumatic happens you feel for them. The characters come across as relatable with all the stupid, and insane shit they do and say that they feel like they could be your friends. Olan Rogers created a real masterpiece
@@Moe_Posting_Chad have you actually watched the show? traumatic shit happens all the time, just because it gets resolved doesn't make it any less traumatic to the characters in the moment. Unless your a sociopath.
@@ithinkitmightbe Stop using the word trauma you disgusting freak. You've made it meaningless by its abundant use... And your point is invalid when character deaths are undercut by a fart joke and then they come back to life. Its bad writing. You've gotta be some middle school shit head. There is no way an adult would overlook such fundamentally amateur writing conventions. I myself wrote trash like final space season 2 and beyond in middle school. So I've been there. I did that. Its trash.
When I watched Olan's "there will be no more Final Space" YT video, I nearly cried,. He was so emotional! And the news was bad.indeed. Why do they cancel the best?!
I'm saddened that I won't get to hear Gary say, "Give me the good stuff Hugh", followed by some fantastic silk for my ear balls... I did pre-order the graphic novel but I"ll just have to come up with more soundtrack on my own.
A Bluray player will play DVDs, and companies simply erasing movies and series is reason to own one. Even here there is a big issue though; the shift to streaming is gradually killing physical releases. AFAIK, Season 3 never had a physical release.
The comedy lands like 'real life'; like someone made a joke in the moment, not like a prepared setup. You laugh more because you like the character, rather than due to comedic skill
So, some insight when it comes to the comedy, coming from a guy who's watched him since his early days. The comedy that can feel cringey or maybe ill-timed, is understandable, but to me that is part of the charm. Like you said the show itself reflects his values and will also reflect the creators humor. If you look at it as what it is, a comedy-drama then it can make more sense. But to people who never grew up watching him or completely understanding his humor may find it off-putting at times. In the end I absolutely love it 10/10. And i just watched his Godspeed short film and it is beautiful.
Oh no character died. Haha syke they came back to life. *HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH GET IT?!?!?!?* You're the reason that cinema and TV are such god awful trash now. You take this dogshit and call it T-bone steak.
I've yet to see this show. But I'm eager to. I only know about it because I was scrolling through my old Animation playlist at his pilot animation was there, alongside his 10+ yr old pilot for "The Lion's Blaze." I badly wish The Lion's Blaze was picked up for a show. I relate to that story FAR MORE than I do Final Space.
The fact the so much media can simply be removed as a tax write-off is an argument in favor of physical media. Plus purchasing directly tends to put money in the creators pockets and not just the streaming services. I'll give the show a try after my downloads finish.
the first season is one of the best tv shows I have ever seen, a self-contained story which was so emotional and beautiful I even bought the songs on iTunes. I'll be honest the two later series were a bit of a law of diminishing returns; they are still good, but the need to open up the universe more to accommodate the broader themes and bigger story reduced the impact a bit for me. Still a wonderful show though, and one more season to tie the story up would have been nice
Wasn't this show on a cartoon streaming services? I could have sworn my ATT plan had the option for being given a free yearly subscription to a streaming service of my choice and Final Space was one of the big headlines. I for the life of me can't recall the name of the streaming service
A phenomenal show, made me laugh at a time when I was incredibly low and very little gave me joy. It''s only fitting Olan was able to do the graphic novels to finish this amazing story.
A show written for kids, ya know very pedantic, written by those who are inspired by the writing for The Office... in space, so who is it for? Not a combination for my tastes.
Who has a DVD? Well, To make SURE you can still watch what you want when you want it you Must Own It. So physical copies are the ONLY guarantee cooperation's can't erase your work.
Someone who says they LIKED the show calling it unfunny. I gave this a shot but I misunderstood what they were trying to do. I thought it was supposed to be a comedy. I watched the first ep and did not laugh at any of the attempted jokes and decided it wasn't for me. Sorry.

This is sad man, it was such a great show wish netflix didn't end it for some other show (Hope Other Streaming thing can buy the rights!)
Characters really learn lessons and change in a way I haven't seen from many other adult animated shows
Currently? How? Where? Can’t find it anywhere.
@@TheAlphazoneYT Oh yeah it was just removed internationally a few days ago. Depending on your region it might still be available on amazon prime
I don't think anyone is blind to it, the flaws are very noticeable.
i dont usually watch tv shows but this one is the one show that I can watch over and over, i love it so much with all my heart
Season 1 was great, zoned out mid season 2, and never came back.
The only thing tragic about this show is that it was cancelled
Removed, its been removed from Netflix no more final space people! We’re done! No more greatness! Never got to finish it for the 6th time :(
Piratecy exists
the downfall was season 2, the end
I enjoyed season 3 it was better in my opinion, I loved the action, although everyone saw Gary having arm weapons because his robot arm came from a SAME
Because it has Conan O'Brian's name attached to it, you assume comedy, and the first season had more slapstick comedy. However, the show evolves past it origins to become an amalgamation of all the best syfy/drama/comedy tropes.
Dude worked on the Simpsons so he has experience with cartoons
So much amazing talent voiced this show it’s a shame it never caught on. Gary could be annoying in season 1 so that didn’t help but it probably just got drowned out by all the choices we have in what to watch these days
Hey man, I have a DVD player and a Bluray player. People who don't are obviously okay with their purchased media being stolen from them.
I JUST FINISHED THIS SHOW JUST TO REALIZE THAT IT GOT CANCELLED!!!!!!!!!!
WHY DID I JUST FIND OUT THAT THE 3RD SEASON CAME OUT IN 2021!?!!??!!??
Nothing traumatic happens in the show. Because there is no tonal consistency and character deaths are retconed within minutes.
Why do they cancel the best?!
oh my double crap! a 7? A 7?!?! You mad?!?! this is way to low!!
To have a fall, you must first be high. This show never left the ground
I'm saddened that I won't get to hear Gary say, "Give me the good stuff Hugh", followed by some fantastic silk for my ear balls... I did pre-order the graphic novel but I"ll just have to come up with more soundtrack on my own.
It never recovered from executive meddling on season 2 onwards. Season 1 is special because there was no intervention from above
The series is still on Netflix in Spain, France, Germany and Belgium until March 19.
watching olans "goodbye final space" video i was in tears... the show was amazing and i miss it a lot! cant wait for the novel!
Never forgive, never forget.
*HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH GET IT?!?!?!?*
You're the reason that cinema and TV are such god awful trash now. You take this dogshit and call it T-bone steak.
Were can I watch it now
I forgot about finally space until i saw this, its shame it was canceled it was a good show.
7:17 I mean it's important to Support Physical Media these days since streaming service it's the end all be all for shows that can easily removes.
We used to qoute the ghost toilet story in college all the time 😂❤
I just saw a clip randomly on TH-cam shorts. Never heard of this before. I wish I could‘ve known about it sooner
fInal space helped me through tough times and it's thematic message of going through the five stages of grief was and is amazing.
I've yet to see this show. But I'm eager to.
I only know about it because I was scrolling through my old Animation playlist at his pilot animation was there, alongside his 10+ yr old pilot for "The Lion's Blaze."
I badly wish The Lion's Blaze was picked up for a show. I relate to that story FAR MORE than I do Final Space.
I watched the trailer for Olan's new cartoon "Godspeed" and it was fantastic. Olan Rogers deserved better.
Netflix needs to buy the rights and finish the story
I hated how the last episode, of the final season of (FINAL SPACE) cartoon show, had ended with a cliffhanger ending.
because it was written as a 6 season arc ... before getting canned by suits for tax reasons.
I bought a bluray player a few days ago. The best purchase of this year so far.
I’ll check this out! Thanks for shedding light onto this
Omg Daaaaavid my brudda thanks ❤
Wasn't this show on a cartoon streaming services? I could have sworn my ATT plan had the option for being given a free yearly subscription to a streaming service of my choice and Final Space was one of the big headlines. I for the life of me can't recall the name of the streaming service
A phenomenal show, made me laugh at a time when I was incredibly low and very little gave me joy.
It''s only fitting Olan was able to do the graphic novels to finish this amazing story.
Gotta love Olan Rogers
Ur homies with him! Get his number next time
i agree with you 100% was a great show feel rly sad that the merger killed it
A show written for kids, ya know very pedantic, written by those who are inspired by the writing for The Office... in space, so who is it for? Not a combination for my tastes.
Well there's the door. It's not an airport, we don't care when you leave so stick to your cheap furry porn.
My next mission of the new year is buying the DVD series! Yep, I'm that "Grandpa"!
Who has a DVD? Well, To make SURE you can still watch what you want when you want it you Must Own It. So physical copies are the ONLY guarantee cooperation's can't erase your work.
Absolutely gutted 😢 that this fantastic show got cancelled godspeed goodspeed 😢😢
If they remove it, nobody should have any moral problems pirating it with torrents.
i miss final space so much
What is the name of the soundtrack used in the video?
Still gutted that netflix SPOILED the death of a major character through their stupid thumbnail...
This is one of my favourite shows, I'm so sad that it's gone
Someone who says they LIKED the show calling it unfunny. I gave this a shot but I misunderstood what they were trying to do. I thought it was supposed to be a comedy. I watched the first ep and did not laugh at any of the attempted jokes and decided it wasn't for me. Sorry.
Yeah jokes are pretty lackluster like I said. Good on u for at least trying it
man I remember when this came out I loved it so much. my brother was a huge Olan Rodgers fan when we were younger and it was really a shame to see Final Space slowly dwindle out of existence.
first season was a masterpiece, when I saw pissing contest in second season I was devastated, how something so cool and sublime could turn into a pile of shit in matter of just a few soconds is beyond me.
And as of now its not even on netflix anymore
The show was just finding its footing. It is a damn shame it was canceled.
I absolutely loved Final Space! My wife, my daughter, and I all watched it together and completely fell in love with it. We were definitely bummed when it was canceled. I wasn't aware of the plans for a graphic novel ... I'm definitely going to have to check into that!
yes was very tragic, , , whats even more tragic is the price of the graphic novel to finish the story whoa its a tad steep
I glad I came across this video and found out There was going to be a graphic novel. And other works are going to continue onto the new series Godspeed. Thanks for the upload
I had no idea this happend to this show, sad ending of a great show i absolutely loved it.
