      Disagree. The USA is not obsessed with choosing the leader of Haiti. The USA could not care any less about Haiti. 99% of Americans could not point to Haiti on a map, 35% of Americans think its part of Mexico, and I am absolutely sure 70% of Congress couldn't find it on a map. I can gurantee Donald Trump could not find it on a map or tell you anything about it. Nobody in the USA gives one sh*t about Haiti. For better or worse, that's just how it is.

    • @blakjak38
      @blakjak38 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +55

      It’s actually deeper than that. The American, French, and Canadian governments don’t have military installations or troops in Haiti. The actual culprits are the multinational corporations from those countries. They use lobbyists to influence their governments’ policies towards Haiti, while maintaining a working relationship with the Haitian elites. The Haitian elites stand to benefit from those foreign policies and partnerships. Which involves exploiting Haiti for its human labor and natural resources.

I'm Haitian and I can tell you what this man says and do are contradictory, it's been 48 hours since Port-au-Prince is undergoing a tumultuous crisis due to Barbecue's coalition's massive operation aiming to take over new territories, let's say a lot of people in the Solino region of the capital have lost their houses, the airport is not operational, all flights are suspended, most schools are closed and people are worried, especially parents.

    "Barbecue", when I studied Napoleon Bonaparte's actions played a key role in the Louisiana Purchase, which was the acquisition of land from France by the United States in 1803:
    Napoleon was prompted to sell Louisiana to the United States due to a number of factors, including France's failure to suppress a revolt in Saint-Dominique and the possibility of renewed war with Great Britain. some of the commenters or who ever might want to read The Island of Memes: Haiti's Unfinished Revolution by Wade W. Hats off to BBQ for not selling his ppl out and putting his life on the line to make sure his ppl gets the rights & needs that they deserve.
