- Every year this is our most viewed and most anticipated video. Tryout videos have been produced for 9 years straight. We hope you enjoy this one as much as you have all the others.
Cheer Extreme had a fantastic turnout. Using social distancing, we were able to get Tryouts in!

When I was growing up I felt like the messages in the media say that cheerleaders have to look a certain way but there are so many cheerleaders on this channel with different body types all working together as a team. Strength looks different on every body. I know that message of cheerleaders having to look the same is still out there but this channel helps defy that.

y'know I didn't really see many different body types tbh. i mean i didn't pay super close attention but they all looked the same, or at least super similar

THE HEIGHT on the pass at 8:58 is blowing my mind. I had to rewind the video 3 times just to watch that. She must have been AT LEAST 6’ in the air. Same with the girl at 7:20 who literally FLEW across the floor. So much talent!

The Given Grace Show there are multiple locations, but one of their main locations, such as this one, is in Kernersville, North Carolina.

Their main ones are in Kernersville and Raleigh, but they also have some in Charlotte, Richmond, Rockville, roanoke, salem, maryland, chicago, Sanford & a couple more 🤩 but if you want to join like the elite worlds Teams you have to go to Kernersville or Raleigh

Cheer Extreme I wanna be on your team but I can do a front walkover on my trampoline but I don’t think I can connect it with my other skills but other then my tumbling I’m a great base but the thing is I live in Pennsylvania not where your gym is sadly but I think I would be good for your team if i didn’t live so far away

As a doctor I can’t help but notice how many people are close together w/o masks and multiple people touching surfaces...I will pray that everyone will be okay the next 2 weeks ❤️ go CEA!! Excited for the next season :)
gfan105 that’s what i was thinking! I think for the athletes its probably hard to wear masks, especially in tumbling but the scoring people weren’t even wearing them (although it could probably be done in some cases) and they showed the girl walking in without a mask, not even wearing one to show up, so i’m definitely sketched out by that.
grenadejumper it’s peoples choice if they wear one plus some people could have medical conditions causing them not to wear one, I have asthma and I have been told it’s unsafe for my to wear them as it restricts my breathing 🌸
Thats how it is at my gym and we've been open for almost a month and everyone is perfectly fine sooo...

I love this video but it kinda makes me mad that there's (apart from the end) only one interview and that's of course with Kenley... I prefer listening to the new ones' opinion and thoughts rather than the one who 100% in SE... I mean i don't really care 🤷🏻♀️ but the little girl at the end was cute :3

fr, but it’s like SUPERRR hard to social distance in a gym setting. even at my gym they try so hard but we all just end up in a clump chatting at break.

The tumbling technique from athlete to athlete is amazing.
When I was in school, haha, back in the ‘50s, the girls just did a bit of jumping ...nothing like this...I was a majorette from 6th grade all the was thru hi school, we did a few things, but it’s great to see these very young girls be so talented! I have hopes for my 2 great grandchildren to do something like this! Would thrill this old granny!

why do they always take those steps backwards with standing tumbling? ( i am a gymnast btw so i know nothing about cheer :) )
it adds more power through the back handsprings so they can have enough power for their fulls!
To help them get momentum/power. I'm pretty sure gymnasts don't do much standing tumbling like that anywhere but beam, but it is quite a bit harder than running tumbling. Most cheerleaders hate standing tumbling because of how much harder it is haha. That's also how they do it in a routine, kinda like motions that have a purpose lol.
Macey Lee no gymnast have to do standing back handsprings, but we do it on a balance beam instead on the floor 😂 we don’t get to take steps backwards like this, that’s why the girl above was asking.

One of my biggest regrets is not trying out competitive cheer. I didn’t know competitive cheer was a thing until I was in middle school and by then I was fixated on gymnastics. I wasted 4 years doing absolutely nothing. (I quit like 2 1/2 years in) now I’m 15 and it’s too late

I tried out for my school's cheer team last year made the team but I quit but this year I'm trying out again and can't wait to see if I make the team I've been practicing all the cheer routines and dances

Oh my god you’re so lucky to have tryouts now my cheer tryouts are like next week I think and I do the same exact cheer as you but like I go to pac
you can see the hunger in the eyes that they really wanna impress. what is not so impressive however is the jewelry. this is not a beauty comp, its about your skills and what you can do and bring to a team. if anything its more of a distraction, and if not careful could actually fall off and now hurt someone else, or they could have their bracelets pop off when flipping. sorry but that to me needs to not be apart of try outs. i use to do this all star stuff, and all gyms i was at, you left your jewelry at home, you took it off before practice and never have it on before you hit the floor at a comp.

hey yall, since this is a very supportive comment section could you guys hype me up a bit?
im black and i never seem to see any black cheerleaders among white teams and during quarantine ive gotten really dedicated to learning skills. im really close to a back handspring but not quite there and ive gotten a crappy front walkover. im scared that when i go to tryout i would be accepted just for my skin color standing out, even tho i know its really unlikely. ive seen my schools cheerleading team before for like 2 seconds and all i remember is a few white girls but not really anything else.

I was a coach, and un-teaching the bad habits from cheer is miserable. Not to mention how many avoidable injuries are a result of kids throwing skills they aren't even close to having
