I am switching my 6 year old to this from TGTB level k this year. TGTB is great for my daughter, but I think this may be a better fit for my son. Short, sweet and less poetry lol

      😂 less poetry!! 😜
Yes this is definitely short and to the point! Did you see that I compared TGTB level 1 to this level 1 of MB also??

Thank you for making this review! Can you let me know if the level 1 workbook reviewed what all the symbols meant?

Oh dear! I made this video almost 4 years ago. I do not remember. I did a comparison of this to TGATB video. Maybe I gave more details in there.

I love the tip about the spiral binding! Where did you have that done? Office Depot as well?

Love this review, thank you! We are going to use this next year. I would love to know more of your binding process. Did you take the teacher/answer pages out and then bind the student book? Did it leave gaps? Thanks!

Yea that’s exactly what I did. I only bound the student worksheets and I put all the teacher pages into my own binder.

So, how is it going for your child? Mine is still doing Foundations Phonics.

It’s going very well! I’m supplementing her reading with Dick and Jane readers which works well also. But this curriculum is short and to the point and she loves doing it. The only thing she doesn’t enjoy is the dictionary. I think as long as your child knows basic phonics, they can move right into this!

@@OurHOMEschoolPlan It looks great. I hope my little one enjoys it. Masterbooks did a good job with this one. :)

@@jocelyn3721 the books that go along are fun! So far we are still doing “Not Too Small At All” and it’s a really cute book! I’m sure you’ll love it!

What grade would you say this works for? Grade 1? Grade 2?

It’s depends on your child’s reading level. I felt it was VERY gentle. So if your child already knows ABC sounds, they could start this. First words are all short vowel sounds.
