as someone who has had a 2016 nissan sentra, CVTs can absolutely mock a gear shift. as a matter of fact, the way you see the gear "shift" at around 6000 rpm is something my old sentra did as well, and it had a CVT. when i put it in sport mode, it would do the same thing, just more aggressive. some manufacturers have their CVTs mimic the feel of a normal automatic to give buyers some of that feeling.

This is not the CVT, its a 5 gears box. I have the hybrid and the CVT box don't work like this one.
