Shakira's career is as old as I am and she was my introduction to foreign music in 2002 with her Laundry Service album. I was just nine but she immediately became my favorite artist and I felt she was a special human being. Since then, she's been the only celebrity I idolized and always defended. She's an inspiration for every woman and she's so intelligent and warm. But she's also not afraid of being vulnerable and honest. It seems that Shakira is the only celebrity who can't be fake in any way, even if everything depended on that ability. I love that! Even when many people were dissing her for openly showing and saying how she felt about Pique and what he did to her, I understood her and applauded her for not taking the typical forced approach of a "dignified woman." I love Shakira, I have been a Colombian fan right from the beginning. Lover her as an artist with honesty, I know all, all her music. I sympathise with her ordeal, I went through a similar situation, and I feel compassion as with any other person who is going through challenging times, but come on! She is a single mother with millions in her bank account, a family that helps her, money to pay for the help she needs, with a massive community around her. I am a bit tired of listening now when there are so many single mothers struggling with two or three jobs, or who have been victims of domestic violence, who don't have family, friends, or community to rely on. I am not minimising her experience but it would be nice for her to realise that it's probably enough.

Shakira's career is as old as I am and she was my introduction to foreign music in 2002 with her Laundry Service album. I was just nine but she immediately became my favorite artist and I felt she was a special human being. Since then, she's been the only celebrity I idolized and always defended. She's an inspiration for every woman and she's so intelligent and warm. But she's also not afraid of being vulnerable and honest. It seems that Shakira is the only celebrity who can't be fake in any way, even if everything depended on that ability. I love that! Even when many people were dissing her for openly showing and saying how she felt about Pique and what he did to her, I understood her and applauded her for not taking the typical forced approach of a "dignified woman." Well done, Shakira! Hugs from one of many European fans who grew up with your music!

What I like most about this interview is that Shaki listens to the interviewer giving his opinion, he lets him speak, he doesn't interrupt him, it's a true conversation and not a one-way interview and i celebrated that.

I've been a fan of Shakira for as far as I can remember, my mother used to put on her songs like "Ciega, Sorda, Muda" and "La Antologia", what I love about Shakira is the beautiful soul she has and how no matter how successful she is, she's always humble, kind, and just everything I aspire to be as a human. Also love how Zane Lowe interview, it always seems to come from a place of respect, intelligence and love.

I love Shakira, I have been a Colombian fan right from the beginning. Lover her as an artist with honesty, I know all, all her music. I sympathise with her ordeal, I went through a similar situation, and I feel compassion as with any other person who is going through challenging times, but come on! She is a single mother with millions in her bank account, a family that helps her, money to pay for the help she needs, with a massive community around her. I am a bit tired of listening now when there are so many single mothers struggling with two or three jobs, or who have been victims of domestic violence, who don't have family, friends, or community to rely on. I am not minimising her experience but it would be nice for her to realise that it's probably enough.
