Please don't make movies like this anymore. This isn't a gay movie, this is a movie about it's OK to be a liar. And it's OK to love a cheater and a liar.
I just saw the whole film last night. It resonates to me in a lot of ways. I love it.

I have just seen it on DVD here in Germany. This is a very tender, very calm but emotional film about an unlikely triangle love affair and is in some way a contemporary depiction of german-israelic conditions. But despite the unlikeliness, the story and emotions felt real and beliveable. Very subtle hints reveal emotions, that are not displayed openly. Enjoyed it very much and shed some tears. Unfortunately the trailer gives away too much of the plot.
What a masterpiece. Every time I've watched this, I've discovered something new I hadn't noticed or considered before. So much wisdom and nuance has been woven into the story. Perfect dialogue. Incredible ending. Anyone with an emotional imagination will fall in love with this film. It is truly one of the best things I've ever watched.

@@sufyanlowel4631It’s a film for people of high emotional intelligence who can understand and witness the many nuances of love and grief. That’s the best I can do to explain it to you. If you’re too stuck in conventional simplifications of life and feelings, then it’s not the film for you- but you are missing out on a lot more than this film by being so close-minded.

There is nothing worse than being granted limited time to someone you ache for so badly because of circumstances. It never goes away, especially when the love is taboo.

This movie was so good and the acting was so realistic! It was very emotional. This reminded me the movie 'Firebird'
Firebird was about communist dictature. They literally almost have no choice. This movie is about free world. People can choose the life they want to live. How low and lame guy must be if he can't find decent guy in Germany and go after married foringer?! And more then - after dead foringer, who's whole life was a lie. Nothing realistic here, it's a made up bullshit

I saw this film just today I cried in the Thomas scene, he found out from Anat's mouth that Oren wanted to leave Anat to go with him and make love and at that moment Thomas wanted to cry but he stopped his tears,
That scene makes me cry 😢
Well, it's lame. Jump from one to another. Like he living with her just because he can't find better. And once he found, the he wanna leave. Very shallow.

@eldadevata Honestly, it reminds me of James Baldwin's Another Country where you have these types of relationships to show the power of human love to overcome, break barriers and better understand oneself. You are right that the characters have defaults but I think you're being moralistic. I don't agree with how the men behave in this film but the beauty dwells in the messiness, the ugliness of these relationships and the strength of the mother. I liked learning a bit about the German and Israeli settings, the languages, the food. All of this was beautiful. I would recommend reading Baldwin's book. However I would begin with Giovanni's Room, then Another Country.

In Israel, if a place wants to be called kosher, it must have a kashrut certificate from the rabbanut of the state of Israel. Also none Jews ant make kosher food for Jews according to the Jewish faith

I bought it so I can watch whenever I please. My daughter lives in Kfar S, so I understood many Hebrew words and phrases. I also understand German, so I almost didn’t need subtitles - but I displayed them anyway!
I've never heard of this movie but a guy cheating on his wife to be with a guy is just sad imo
