Once again, big KUDOS to the team for choosing such fantastic movies for them to react to and the superb translation of their commentary. Through their reactions, I felt the movie magic happen time and again, like it was my first experience watching it in cinemas. You have an excellent team and formula for this channel.
Thanks for watching it! Some people hated this movie, which always baffled me. To me, a child of the 90s, it defined what a movie should be. The enemy could not seem more menacing and unstoppable, and yet, the humans miraculously find a way to outsmart them. And all of this, interspersed with humor and great characters. Some people think this movie is too "cheesy", but they should realize - the humor was absolutely NECESSARY to ease the tension of young children. It was a SCARY movie for children, so, they needed the lightheartedness mixed with it. Amazing spectacle, epic stakes, and great personal arcs too. Other movies to watch: Tombstone The Matrix (first one only) The Wizard of Oz (1939) It's a Wonderful Life (black and white version) Groundhog Day Arrival (2016?) Unbreakable Galaxy Quest Dante's Peak
@@Eiko286 I think you are both right. It is a teenager and above movie with PG-13 so yes for family but not young children. I do not believe @jaredbond7908's assessment that the tone was for children however. I think the tone was set by the strong moral fiber portrayed in the writing and acting, the "character" of all the characters drove it to be not a "horror" film, but a species wide unification in triumph! 🗺🎆 Could you imagine if it actually happened right now? Sleepy Joe here in the USA can't even make it up the tarmac or finish a coherent thought sometimes, so I somehow doubt very much he could fly a fighter jet or even deliver that kind of battle rally pep talk before doing it. Some commander in chief we have now. 😢

Really great reactions from these guys. I so enjoyed watching this with them! I'm glad they recognized Jeff Goldblum. Down the line hopefully they will watch Men In Black and recognize Will Smith as well. And after all these sci-fi movies, maybe they can watch Spaceballs😆
Yes! The original 1984 Ghostbusters. As far as cultural references go, 4 year olds aren't going to understand all of the references either, and it's still a favorite. It's just a fun movie.
for another great alien invasion movie they should watch. "The War of the Worlds" (1953) this film was deemed culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant in 2011 by the United States Library of Congress for preservation in the National Film Registry .The Registry noted the film's release during the early years of the Cold War and how it used "the apocalyptic paranoia of the atomic age". The Registry also cited the special effects, which at its release were called "soul-chilling, hackle-raising, and not for the faint of heart". "Invaders from Mars" (1986) a remake of the 1953 film. This is an example of a good remake. The end twist will shock "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1978) a remake of the 1956 film and considered one of the best science fiction-horror films with an ending scene that terrified an entire generation
I really look forward to these guys' movie reactions all the time. I always feel better having watched their reactions. Lovely dudes. I think they would like disaster movies like The day after tomorrow, deep impact, and Armageddon. I still hope for more historical movies, Last Samurai Schindlers List Patriot GoodFellas Casino Last of Mohicans Dances with Wolves Tombstone Fury, I dunno I am a big fan of Sci Fi and fantasy but watching them cry watching Gladiator and them knowing that its an actual event makes it even better as its entertaining and teaching.
This was another perfect reaction. I did go see the new Barbie movie and the theater showed it with a double feature of an older movie called Legally Blonde and i truly forgot how great that movie is definitely put it on your list! I dont think theyve done a 90s/ early 2000s comedy yet and that is one of the best ones imo
I also really want you to watch Scream 1996. You haven't done a horror slasher movie yet an that's the perfect place to start and it's a really good film. It's beautifully shot. The cinematography makes Northern California look like an oasis.
Also idk when Barbie will be available overseas to stream but it is here an once it is I really want a reaction from that too. It just became Warner Brothers highest grossing US domestic box office release of all time. It's also the fist film with a female director to surpass 1 billion globally at the box office. It's a current cultural moment and whatever you think the Barbie movie is it's not that. 😂

Your reactions were just like mine when I saw this in the theater! I loved this movie from first viewing because it's fun and has good action at a great pace. And it was my "comfort movie" after 9/11, when I was completely overwhelmed by the news coverage of the terrorist attacks. The enemy was so clear, the good guys saved the day... I think they should watch 1. American werewolf in London, 2. Rumble in the Bronx, 3. The Matrix, 4. Apocalypto, 5. Predator 2, 6. Scarface, 7. Tremors, 8. Goodfellas, 9. Godzilla (The Godzilla movie remake that was released in 1998), 10. Blade, 11. Underworld, 12. 300, 13. Jeepers Creepers, 14 Jeepers creepers 2, 14. The Nutty Professor, 15. 28 days later, 16. How America values our 4th of July/ independence day significance I think is lost on them. I love this movie because of the many family dynamics. Plus the dog lives.
So enjoyed watching ya'll experience this fantastic movie,..again another movie like Aliens, that was an absolute thrill to see in theater, the crowd went crazy, was so much fun, do keep going, and yes Goldblum from Jurassic Park, always in the good ones, and Will Smith too,..Robert Loggia Rip, who played the general was in Scarface, just love that he was in this, and Vivica Fox, who's in Kill Bill, you so should see that series of movies, they're excellent,..someone mentioned Ghostbusters, do check that one, its crazy hilarious,.Godspeed, Peace ✌
I think it would be really awesome if they saw Top Gun: Maverick. That is one of my top 5 movies of all time and I’m almost 40. Amazing camera work and tons of thrills!
Given you showed them an animated movie earlier this week I recommend Grave of the Fireflies which while a simple story would be a crazy new experience for them. Though it's considered one of the best animated movies, it's also one of if not the most depressing, but as experienced cinephiles now I think they'd be able to take in the emotion and message of the movie as well as appreciating the artistry behind it.
I'm glad you enjoyed the movie they made a sequel set 20 years after they defeated the aliens ,where Grey come back for a 2nd invasion. there is the director cut of Independence day with an extra 20 minutes added ,plus an alternative ending, where rusle cage is refuse from being a pilot, it's the same sacrifice he makes only hi use his crop duster plane with a missile and kills himself by attacking the spaceship prime weapon. it's an amazing movie when the world unites ,on a common enemy. Christians, muslims, jews, Hindus sheikh, atheists, and believers. whites, and people of colour. every one and everyone unite in their quest. the sequel like I said it's now a united earth although the countries still have their own government and laws, their no longer at war with one another but universal alliance and peace. they use the aliens technology and reverse engineering to make their own defense systems waiting for the 2nd invasion.
Great review guys, after looking at what you’ve seen so far, there are plenty of great movies to watch. Apocalypto is one of them that you should review as well as the movie Powder. Two great choices to add to the list.
It would be great if they start watching the Godzilla and King Kong movies, the legendary ones that belong to the monsterverse Godzilla (2014) Kong: Skull Island (2017) Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) Godzilla Vs. Kong (2021)
Didtheguysnot recognize Jeff Goldblum from the movie Jurissic Park? And if you show them the Men In Black movies he is in all of those movies. And I just had another thought of a movie to suggest. Guardians of the Galaxy. There are three movies in that series. And also the Avengers movies.
@@Cinephilesreact786 Armageddon is a movie they will enjoy! It stars Bruce Willis (The 6th Sense) and the actor who plays John Coffy (The Green Mile) as a supporting star.

I think it would be really awesome if they saw Top Gun: Maverick. That is one of my top 5 movies of all time and I’m almost 40. Amazing camera work and tons of thrills!
I think they need to watch Top Gun first though before the sequel so they get it
@@chadhenderson923 fair enough
Given you showed them an animated movie earlier this week I recommend Grave of the Fireflies which while a simple story would be a crazy new experience for them. Though it's considered one of the best animated movies, it's also one of if not the most depressing, but as experienced cinephiles now I think they'd be able to take in the emotion and message of the movie as well as appreciating the artistry behind it.
I second Grave of the fireflies.
I suggest watching the three musketeers from - 93. A great story about friendship and bravery that I think these guys would appreciate!
Dances With Wolves is one of the best movies I have ever seen. I'm sure you would enjoy it.
hey i was hoping youd watch this one, its fun
Loving your reactions! Especially the Star Wars trilogy. My recommendation would be for Field of Dreams. Enjoy!
They’re getting to see the full spectrum of film aliens. This is such fun. I’m glad to see them enjoy these movies.
Great review guys, after looking at what you’ve seen so far, there are plenty of great movies to watch. Apocalypto is one of them that you should review as well as the movie Powder. Two great choices to add to the list.
I wish people would react to Powder! An amazing movie!!
@@WitchessJae one of my personal favorites and it’s really family friendly.
@DanLaTour12 How it gets overlooked is beyond me. It's an amazing movie
Movie Suggestion: MATRIX, 300 OR APOCALYPTO!
IpMan movies would be a great movie for them to watch. I think they would enjoy the action and the historic aspect of it
We had no clue how good we had it back then
It would be great if they start watching the Godzilla and King Kong movies, the legendary ones that belong to the monsterverse Godzilla (2014)
Kong: Skull Island (2017)
Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
Godzilla Vs. Kong (2021)
Armegddon next?
Didtheguysnot recognize Jeff Goldblum from the movie Jurissic Park? And if you show them the Men In Black movies he is in all of those movies. And I just had another thought of a movie to suggest. Guardians of the Galaxy. There are three movies in that series. And also the Avengers movies.
Yay! I suggested this one
Thanks for the idea!
@@Cinephilesreact786 Armageddon is a movie they will enjoy! It stars Bruce Willis (The 6th Sense) and the actor who plays John Coffy (The Green Mile) as a supporting star.
random recomendation if yall read these, maybe a handful of James Bond movies, and then the Austin Powers trilogy.
schindler's list next please. Most powerful film ever created
Enemy Mine is another great one
