Assalamualaikum Sir I've used 0w20 my current kilometers are 3k but since I've used this oild I've felt that more fuel is being consumed by the car. What would you recommend?

Company wale pagal hein, fallow what Japanese engine manufacturer suggest for this engine. Aise tou Toyota wale bhi kehte hein k aap 5W-30 use karein lekin grande ka engine 1.8L hai aur engine code 2ZR-FE hai tou jab aap dekhte hein k official Toyota kya recommend karti tou woh tou 0W-20 recommend karte 2ZR-FE engine k liye aur kehte k best oil he 0W-20 hai lekin IMC Pakistan wale 5W-30 kehte jo k mota oil hai engine ko jaldi farigh kar deita hai.
My friend what is done is done but for future reference you should talk to engineer in Suzuki not labor... secondly as you know this engineer is imported from japan but was little altered due of Pakistani extremely hot weather that's why recommended engine oil for our alto 660cc is 10w40 as per the manual …. to verify that i send an email to Suzuki main center Karachi and their reply was yes sir 10w40 is the recommended oil for alto 660cc , lastly if you open bonnet of ur car you will find a sticker there say 10w40 is the recommended oil for this car... so no one should do experiments and change the oil viscosity. I know after adding 0w20 in your car make is lite and noise will decrease dramatically but if some thing is not meant to be in engine then we should avoid it. where as, as per few technician (not engineers) they said you can have 5w30 for first 20k km but after than you have to shift it back to 10w40. and funny part is that if you add 0w20 in your car even once you are out of Suzuki warranty :)
Well, interesting thing you don't know, I have already run my alto 43000 km all along with 0w20 engine oil and I am completely satisfied with this oil, that's the reason I have shared this. I am using it for more than 1 year, so all weathers of Pakistan, my alto with this engine oil remained perfect. I also driven alto with 10w40 engine oil, but the performance difference is huge. I invite you to drive my car and let me know how you will feel the drive of this 1 year old and 43000+ km mileage car. You can drive new suzuki alto with 10w40 engine oil before driving my car. @@faheemusama my alto is hitting to 54000 km now with 10w40. U are free to choose what ever suits u but i am a kind of person who would always go by the book.

And in Japanese Alto's manual it's clearly written that use only 0w20 as alto has super efficient little engine having thin valves. So how pak Suzuki is recommending 10w40 for a engine which they don't make. They just import it infact.

Alto recommended 0/20.. it's best for 10k kms .. 5k is nothing for this oil...and don't way those layman's as Engineer's..

@@asfand6505 The Manual I have, showing 0w20 as recommended oil. And I always change oil and maintenance from Suzuki Authorized Dealership.

0w20 minimum 5500 se 6000 k.m bad change krwain. Kilometers poray na hon to 6 months me oil change krain.
