Interesting review. I bought the Friday Music version of the 'Promised Land' album and as you mention with 'Good Times', the sound is also colder compared to my original, with harsh sounding treble notes. Not sure that I'll buy anymore Friday Music releases. What I don't understand is how songs licensed from Sony / RCA do not sound at least as good as the original RCA releases, but you live and learn I guess. Thank you for this video.
Only collect cds now, but they are 2 great albums you've got there. Glad everything is going well for you and your wife. And of course not forgetting the Dogs. Looking forward to the next video.

I bought two off a friend a few years ago.i got King creole and loving you. great vinyl pick ups. i am currently looking forward to the next FTD vinyl (easy come easy go) and something for everybody sessions (4 cd box) and of course next month from elvis in nashville (i think i am getting 2 lp color from graceland ) and 4 cd box. but you got great content. congrats on new place. great to hear u and wife have jobs . i still got mine in the grocery store trade is me. have a great day and rest of week. mike m friend from canada eh!!
Two great LPs. I finished my Friday Music collection last year and currently have one variation on all titles released. I won’t buy multiple copies of the same LP to get the different colored vinyl variations. Hopefully “ Elvis Country “ is next in the pipeline for 2021.
Friday music uses digital mastering... so you're essentially hearing a CD on vinyl... that's always been my hesitation with FM. The FTD vinyl issues are also digital mastering...
Hi - nice video. Just wanted to say that I own only one Friday music Elvis album - Elvis Presley boulevard on Gold vinyl and I gotta say, my experience was the same. Very sharpe mastering, to the point where it sounds a bit distorted in places - the vinyl was also a little surface noise in places too, It’s not my go to copy for certain!

Don't think the moody Blue album cover is that bad, the Aloha cover is much worse putting a 72 photo which is not very flattering to Elvis on a 73 cover now what's that all about.
I definitely don’t think it’s the worst since it has more of a theme that a lot of other 70’s pressings do. I often wonder if Elvis ever was able to sign off on album artwork or if it just went out?

Most of his 70's albums look alike, imo.
