In 2013 the same incident happened to my 3.25 feet long imported fish tank. It was a Camry brand. I bought in the mid 2011. It lasted for 2.5 years only. Reason: Due to presence of a minute crack on the curved edge. Same right side. Very very thin like a scratch mark only. But there was not even a single drop of water leakage until this incident happened. Around 11pm the glass suddenly cracked heightwise like yours from top to bottom and water started gushing out. Its sound was like gas cylinder blast. Manufacturing defect. This is the main problem in imported fish tanks which are too costly. After that I'm using an ordinary glass tank till now for the past 10 years. So many times acid washed, lifted and relocated in many places, etc,... Still remaining strong.
