Man, really liking the MF and Yanmar cab tractors. That 10 year powertrain warranty sounds solid. And a 55hp with no DEF or REGEN? Nice! Always enjoy the farm shows. Thanks for sharing Brock 🤠
Good job covering the farm show. I bought a 7030 LS cab tractor from Sutton tractor 7 years ago when it was owned by Eric Sutton the original owner and have had no problems with it and use it hard on the farm!
So glad you covered Yanmar. I fell in love with their machines a couple of years ago and just picked up a YM347. Shutter shift, but it will be bulletproof for years to come
$40K is a real good price on that KX71 with a cab. They are $47K here without a cab. We bought it because it's a 6K machine and can be towed behind a 1/2 ton pickup. Agree on the Zero Turn pricing....we are shopping for one and I test drove a Kubota diesel yesterday...$16-19K to cut our pastures.
I like seeing prices advertised out in the open. What blows my mind though is the 5660 2 wheel is more expensive then my M6060 4 wheel drive was and the M6060 is a more deluxe model. Prices of equipment has really jumped the last two years. Appreciate you referring to my channel. I’m an odd ball buying a new two wheel drive but the cost savings for what I’ll use it for far outweighed buying another 4 wheel drive. I feel in todays world 2 wheel drives are under appreciated. Enjoyed the video!
Great video Brock! That Yanmar presentation sure was impressive. A lot of great features and selling points. Also, as many tractor videos as I watch, this is the first time I’ve heard of Massey’s line up that doesn’t have any regen or anything in it. Some great nuggets here. Thanks!
Yeah, even trying to stay up on stuff like this you don’t hear a lot about some of the other manufactures, and I really do see some ways they are innovating. For instance, Massey being the only one who has figured out how to not put a regen on a tractor over 25 hp Yanmar being the only company to design and build all the major components is a big deal as well. Ten-year manufacture warranty. A dealership that sells multiple brands of tractor told me that on a 50 hp cab tractor you can save $15,000 with an LS and they are still a good tractor. Deere and Kabota do some things really well but there are other good companies out there too.
We were there Friday. We used to go regularly before Covid and were really disappointed by the lack of vendors. It used to take 2 days to get through it but we made it through in half a day. The prices seemed obscene. The Massey 4707 we bought a year and a half ago for 50,000 was 72,000!
Hello Brock, Another great video, lots of good information. But I really wanted to thank you for the videos on shelving for your attachments. We just got our little pole barn roof tight, and are into the attachment shelving build. Your videos have been a great resource. I have gotten a lot of insight from them. All the best, Ben from Nova Scotia
CHECK OUT HUSTLER STAND ON MOWERS!!! BUILT IN HESSTON, KANSAS. ALSO THE YANMAR GUY MISINFORMED YOU. KUBOTA ALSO MANUFACTURES THEIR TRACTORS, INCLUDING THE ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, REAR DIFF, ETC.
My neighbor has a grasshopper mower with a single rear wheel and he gets that thing stuck all the time and I've had to take my zero turn, country clipper, and pull him out many times, not enough ground clearance and I've had to rewire it, overhaul the carburetor 3 times. Course it's over 15 years old too.
On the zero turn topic, I just bought 2020 Scag Patriot for $2500. Lady was selling house and getting rid of everything. New, they are $9k. I lucked out.
I have been told that those tractors avoid the “regen” process by running very high exhaust temps constantly, so it’s almost like they are always in regen mode. I sure would like to see a good unbiased video explaining the process.
Really nice footage Brock. For all of the equipment displayed there didn’t appear to be very much foot traffic at that show? Thanks for taking all of us along!
Yeah, this is a smaller local show and weekdays are usually slower, but it was pretty dead. Doesn’t feel like they did a good job promoting it which was good for me because The salesman really spent time to talk to me more
Great video Brock. I really liked Uncommon USA and Grainzebo; now I know about two more quality vendors. I've read up on Yanmar and they are/were my choice for a subcompact until I saw Summit on GWT's channel but they are very new and I'm still not completely sold on them yet.
Huge fan of Yanmar. If ever added to the 40 Year old 2 stroke Kubota Yanmar remains the clear leader going on forever now. At some point Kubota and John Deere and all the others at the moment will take this on. Loved that specialized backhoe as well as I can't think of a worst add on to a Tractor than a backhoe in the compact segment. Great reviews!
$39,999 for that KX71 is hard to believe. Is the KX71-3 that different because i see them used and several years old for $45,000… the wheeled skid seems cheap too.. I was quoted 54 grand for a tracked 65 but with cab/heat/ac… and 54k was the pre-covid price they were going for over 60 on the used marker with low hours or like 45k with 1,800 hours.. maybe prices are finally coming back down to reality?
Your correct. I have a Mahindra 1640 and has none of that. I like my tractor a lot, it's strong, a real tractor workhorse. I know firsthand it embarrassed several of my friends we'll know tractor brands of similar size and horsepower.
Ag shows are great. They say if you are in the market for a particular piece of equipment do the following. Go to a show on the last day with the finance and means to transport the equipment to your place. Discuss pricing with the sales people and advise you’ll buy it there and then and also take the machine back with you. You can get a good deal as it is one less machine they need to transport back.
I may be an old fashioned 76 yr old but instead of these high priced tractors I still prefer going to a county fair and purchase a rebuilt Massey Ferguson 35 gasoline tractor that I can operate and service. I own two Kubota tractors that are paid off so I am privileged to compare them. Save your money.
Not a thing. They are the market leader in compact tractor sales which doesn’t happen if you don’t make a good machine It is just a fun thing the Deere owners and Kubota owners tease each other. Especially the Kubota TH-cam guys
@@RockhillfarmYT ah I see. Lol…..I bought two kubotas over the years and they’ve both been good to me. Haven’t really lost much money on resale either! I just got a 3902 recently and eager to get some work done with it! I’m not fond of the regen garbage but I get it when the government gets involved …the MF common rail system has got me thinking but too late now! In all actuality I haven’t heard much negative comments for the kubota regen system other than it’s sort of a bothersome process every now and then! I mean ya don’t have to do much extra unless the thing decides it time to regen when your about done with work…
@@markcole6475 Well i got a L6060 from Kubota and the regen can be automatic, which means i can still continue to do work while it's regenerating...and it's always like that as long as i don't ignore the regen light that pops in the dashboard once in a while....i believe it's like that cause i use it at 2500-2600 rpm at all times(snowblowing driveways)...the whole process takes about 15-20mins tops...really not bothersome...
My 4720 2011 has the same functions as the new 2022 yanmar sorry but team green won it 10 years ago 10 year warranty i have replaced my battery this year on the 4720 and it was from the factory 3200hours. Not impressed.
Well, in 2011 that Deere was actually a Yanmar tractor I am as a big fan of a John Deere as you are going to find, but you have a Yanmar tractor with John Deere stickers
It is just a running joke between John Deere guys and Kubota guys on TH-cam I have nothing negative to say about Kubota except for not caring for the treddle pedal on tractors. Even that us something I would probably get over quickly from running one

Yeah, I found both of those really appealing.
You got to give it to Yanmar designing and building all of their major components.
Those tractor don’t do periodic regen. It’s essentially always in regen, mahindra does it along with the John Deere new 5e series.
Good job covering the farm show. I bought a 7030 LS cab tractor from Sutton tractor 7 years ago when it was owned by Eric Sutton the original owner and have had no problems with it and use it hard on the farm!

That’s a lot of money for a mower, my friend. But if you have a lot to mow, which I know you do, it makes more sense.
So I’m not the only one.. 40k for a cab KX71? I see them used, no cab with 2000 hours for sale for $30,000+
Yanmar overview was really good. That hydrostat sounds/looks like a fully syncronized shuttle.
Great video Brock. Thanks for showing us. Nice to see the different brands and their hi lights. That Yanmar Looked impressive. 👍
Just amazing how tractors have changed in just a year. Still like my 1025r but all the new extras, just makes me want something else!
Gotta love KENNY his sales pitch is funny and informative.
Yes sir. For a product like this to have someone at the show who is enthusiastic and quirky like that is gold
I think I’m going to order one
Kenny was AWESOME! 👍🏻
"business is up and down", love this guy!! Very cool we'll thought out products he's selling.
@@anthonyg6924 definitely. Probably talked to hundreds of thousands of people at these shows and still has energy and enthusiasm for what he’s doing.
He just sold me on getting one LOL, great guy!
Thanks for taking us along Brock, if I went in person I'd probably go home with a flagpole, lol!
I did not buy one at the show, but I think I’m going to order one. Should be a really easy install and it was lightweight to raise and lower
